I'm willing to pay extra for a suite with luxury amenities for my dogs because I want them to be comfortable when my husband and I have to go out of town. I booked a suite for them but when I came to pick them up (early and unexpected) they told me that my dogs had been in a fight and they had to move them. When I asked to see them I was brought back to this hot, stinky, dirty cement room with cages wall-to-wall stacked on top of eachother. When I asked how long they had been back there I was told that the fight happened "two or three days ago... I'm not sure." I received no phone call about this and these people had no idea how long my dogs had been back there. The toys I left for them were not with them. I had asked for premium bedding and they were both laying on dirty cement in otherwise empty cages. One of my dogs smelled of urine and her belly was red and raw. They adjusted the price for the three days they claim the dogs were kept in the cages instead of the suite, but I suspect that the suites are just for show and as soon as I walked out the door after dropping them off they were moved back there and forgotten about. Best Friends Pet Care is scamming people by taking advantage of the fact that the dogs can't talk. They charge you for all of these "extras" that I'm quite certain the dogs never get. The manager couldn't have cared less about my concerns and offered no explanation or apology.
