I have been taking my Hondas to Petes' for almost 10 years. They took care of my older Honda for many years and now they take care of our newer Hondas as well. I cannot recommend their ethic, value or general wonderfulness too much.

I'm old enough now to have dealt with many a mechanic in my day, and Pete & Pete are by far the best ever. Wonderful combination of low-key but extremely helpful. And they are obviously, utterly honest. In fact, they once went way out of their way to fix something for me in a much cheaper way. What might've cost me something like $800 elsewhere cost me only about $200. I love these guys!

Title says it all. I have been taking cars to Pete & Pete at Pete's Import Garage since first moving to Atlanta in 2004. We tried a couple other mechanics around town before going with Pete's, and never felt like we got a square deal or a good value. So we found some favorable reviews for Pete's online and we tried them because they were near our neighborhood. It has been nothing but friendly and down to earth service since then. My wife and I take our two early 90's Hondas there and we always get prompt service at a great value. On more than one occasion I have taken a car in with a problem where I couldn't even guess the cause, only to be called a day later that the fix was less than $50. When that sort of thing happens you can't help but feel like the mechanic is keeping things honest. After spending roughly $3000 cumulative with them over 5 years for the maintenance and repairs of two cars I can say that it has been a consistently great experience marked by value and attentive service. I will also add though that after 5 years I *still* almost always miss the turn into their parking lot.

These guys are great! I had gone to Roger Jordan Garage down the road from Pete's previously -- based on reviews here on Kudzu -- for an O2 sensor replacement on my '98 Civic. Though they were very nice at Roger Jordan and did good work, I felt like they were too slow and WAY too expensive. When I asked for a quote on a timing belt/water pump change, they quoted $750! That is WAY too high. I ended up getting it done here at Pete's Import Garage for only $569, including parts, labor, seals, taxes, AND an oil change. Plus, he stayed an hour late just to make sure my car was done the same day! I should have gone to Pete's first, and I will be going back to them from now on. Highly recommended!

I found Pete's Import Garage on Car Talk's website about 7 years ago. At the time, I was a single woman who was tired of getting jerked around by mechanics. I was driving a 13 year old Honda Civic that Curry Honda said was unfixable and recommended that I sell for scrap metal. Peter not only brought it back from the dead, but I was shocked at how reasonable the repair bill was. I'm happy to report that the car is still running like a champ to this day (a 20 year old Civic)! I wouldn't dream of taking it to another mechanic.

Have been taking my vehicles to Pete's for years and very happy with their service. They have saved us money in keeping up our old cars and are lowkey, quality people you would want as your friends.
