This was the worst experience I have ever had with a company. They do not care about you or your belongings. They show up late, deliver late partial loads and just tell you that all you can do is call the toll free Atlas number. This is a terrible company.

The team that moved me arrived on time and worked hard. They did a great job and took care of my belongings. They made sure I was 100% satisfied with the job that was being done. I was very impressed with the service they provided. All of the workers were kind and courteous. I was so impressed I even bought them lunch to thank them. Thank you Philpot Movers for making my move easier.

I don't want to waste anymore time with this company so very short review. It was my worst moving experience ever after 11 very successful corporation moves with other companies. Do not use these folks you will be sorry.

We had a local move. When we signed a contract, we were told 3 men would be assigned to the move. When they arrived to load the stuff, only two men actually did the work. THEY ARE SLOW! PhilpotWe may be cheap, but the way they recover their cost is by spending more hours in the move as the guys work really slow. The third guy, only used his smartphone and did no work in terms of loading and unloading. Not only that, he would distract the other two guys by holding them back in the truck and sharing stuff on his smartphone. There were many times where we would tell them to speed up and stop using the phone, but they did not care. We spoke to their owner and we were given a small discount, but I am still sure that he continues to employ the guy who LOVES his smartphone more than doing his job. We asked the Smartphone guy, I believe his name is Kenny, to give us his boss's phone number and he refused. So we decided to pay them partially for the poor job they had done and that is when he called his boss and were able to express our concerns. Moving can be very tedious and you do not want to deal with one more problem, so read reviews before you hire these movers.

I apologize that this took place. You all did speak with the Operations Manager and I am glad that he was able to provide you an appropriate discount for the troubles. Since then we have addressed the situation with the crew and handled things appropriatley. This should not take place with this driver again. Thank you for brining this to our attention.
They wrecked their truck leaving my neighborhood which caused several items to break and ruined my furniture. They say they are not liable because it was an accident. And that we have to go through our homeowners insurance for compensation. Never use them!

We very much apologized that the truck hit a low hanging tree limb while leaving the neighborhood. After we further investigated everything we did in fact cover the items that got wet do to the damage to the roof of the truck. Our customer satisfied with this out come.
I used this company thinking they would take care of my relocation needs. My things arrived 2 weeks late and they stole some of my stuff. It was obvious that someone went through my boxes and I never got my stolen items back. They will respond to this to try to defend themselves. Listen to what others like me are saying. They only care about getting your money and they will steal your things without thinking twice about it. They ignore your phone calls or send you to Atlas (the carrier they use). Stay away!!!

I apologize that this didn't get answered sooner as I had already answered this through the BBB. This was a Canadian bound shipment and there were some items missing. We, as an agent for Atlas Van Lines, did refer the customer to Atlas in regards to the claim. We had told them ahead of time that there were issues and the we needed to cover the missing items and have them charged back to us. In the end the customer was made whole. When things do go wrong we are here to assist our customers any and all process'.
not only is the service overpriced the staff is rude and did not communicate that our delivery would be late. They apparently overbooked themselves and we were left wonder when and if we would ever get our furniture. We felt the company was fly by night and the prices was too high. get a second quote from Allied Van Lines much better service.

We admit, we were not there when the customer wanted us to be there. However, when the job booked the spread was agreed upon as being 7/1 to 11. The shipment did deliver on the 11th which was the last day of the agreed upon date range. We are very sorry that it couldn't get there toward the beginning but we were very upfront with the dates. We are not a fly by night as we have been in business since 1964 and if we were over priced we would not be able to remain in business. We are very sorry that this wasn't to the customers satisfaction.
I used Philpot aka. Atlas Van Lines for our move last year. We had a local move of less than 20 miles. We had a six man crew and the crew leader was on his phone for at least 4 hours of the 10 hour move. The other crew members often found time to smoke in the trailer with our stuff on it. I had to jump in and help them move my stuff so I could help set the pace that I expected. They were crazy slow and they liked to try to talk with me and my family rather than focus on moving our stuff. In the end we noticed some damage to our dresser top, and our master bed headboard. They argued that they did not cause the damage. During the move the crew leader was trying to settle up the moving charges with me and he spent about an hour walking around with paperwork and talking to his "Boss" on the phone. The entire crew had cell phones and cigarettes and they loved them both. This company is a complete joke!

We apologize for this experience as this is not our standard. We have also instituted no cell phone usage or texting while on our jobs to assist and have reiterated our company policy of no smoking in or on our vehicles at any time.
Professional crew, friendly, fun, they know what they are doing when it comes to moving a family. Protected our home on both ends. Handle our furniture like it was their own. What a great move, thanks Philpot.

Excellent Service from Beginning to End. Philpot Relocation handled the move of my household from Riverdale, GA to Lawrenceville, GA on Sep. 26, 2009, and the move of my new bride's household from Lawrenceville to our new home in Lawrenceville on Sep. 28, 2009. Both moves were coordinated by Ray and Carol, and handled by the same moving crew, headed by Dereck. From beginning to end the moves were handled very professionally...the cost and time estimates were accurate, the crews arrived on-time, worked efficiently, were careful in loading and unloading, and all concerns were addressed appropriately. Damage was very minor. I highly recommend Philpot for moving your household.

This is by far the best move and experience I've had with a mover. Philpot did a wonderful job and everyone was, well dressed and professional from start to finish. Mike in the sales dept., was very helpful and knew what he was doing. The driver and crew were the best. I had no damage what so ever and will refer Philpot to anyone asking about a good professional mover.

Thank you very much for your review. We at Philpot strive for quality and customer satisfaction.
I unfortunately used Philpot (a/k/a Atlas) for a move from Atlanta to Charlotte, storing my possessions with Philpot for three months between move out in Atlanta and move-in in Charlotte. During the time in storage and when we were trying to arrange for the move in at Charlotte, Philpot representatives would go long periods of time without returning our calls. Logistics were all but impossible to arrange with these unresponsive people. When the shipment finally arrived in Charlotte, we discovered that Philpot had "lost" a computer, expensive table, and other items. Atlas damaged numerous other items, including a Weber grill (which we watched the movers drop off of the back of the truck, and which the movers admitted they damaged) and a glass-paneled china cabinet that was not packaged properly. In addition, unknown movers wrote offensive grafiti over the boxes, maligning us personally. Two movers arrived in Charlotte to do a job that took three men much of the day in Atlanta. As a result, possessions (such as the grill) were dropped and damaged that would not have been damaged if Atlas had provided sufficient labor. Claims process has been a nightmare.

This particular complaint was voiced with the Better Business Bureau and was resolved. All items were not as they appeared. I took this facility over shortly after this incident and those who were part of the communication problems are no longer with us. This is not the way we run our facility and all items have been resolved. In fact this is the only complaint we have had with the BBB in the last 36 months, and that speaks volumes.
