This summer my 18-year-old son was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and was recommended to go to physical therapy at Physiotherapy Corporation. I am extremely disappointed by Physiotherapy Corporation and their customer support. He went there by himself and asked very clearly how much each session would cost because I have a high deductible and it looked like we had to pay out of my pocket. My son made sure she understood that I was paying out of my pocket. The lady said each session was $50. He was told to sign some papers and being the 18-year-old boy he is, he didn't read them before he signed. The papers entailed that the $50 dollar price was just an estimate and we later got a bill for $700 in the mail. I was very surprised that a company recommended by Kaiser would deceive their customers in such a way, especially to a teenager. I have no means to pay for the $700 bill so my son now has to work to pay off the bill. They lied to me and I feel like it is a scam, and that she just wanted to get me. I asked for the price because I could have gone to a different place offering a cheaper service if I was not happy with the price. Yes, the only mistake my son did was not reading the paper. They cannot take advantage of that, they told him the price and it should remain.

The front staff is friendly and punctual with calling you in at your appointment time. However, if you want INDIVIDUAL therapy, go elsewhere. This is basically group therapy with the therapist rotating between 3 patients much like a dentist office. They tell you to do a particular exercise and walk away to the next person. Then come back and tell you they saw you were not doing it correctly. Hello! Your job is to stay with patient and make sure they are doing it correctly. Then even when your doctors orders specifically call for massage/soft tissue mobilization, as well as manual therapy/mobilization/ manipulation, and myofascial release, they do not want to take the time to do it, because they have to work with 3 people at once. They respond by saying "we need to wean you off of the ultrasound, because you can't do that at home." Well excuse me, who can???? Point of being there in the first place was to obtain treatment I could not get at home with exercise alone. And if she had bothered to read my chart, she would have seen I had only had ONE 10 min session with the ultrasound and that was during my intake evaluation. More like a demo. Anyway, I went to a REAL therapist who did a deep tissue massage. It did more good in one visit than 4 weeks at this place! Caveat emptor!

I have been very impressed with my physical therapy here. I do not have to wait and it is easy to schedule an appointment to fit my schedule. My therapist is very patient and explains all the exercises to me. All the therapists and front desk people are very friendly.
