Mulch and straw seem to be on par with most of the local outfits. My issue is with the service, the delivery driver took it upon himself to dump the mulch right in front of my garage door instead of to the side of the driveway where my tarp was located. The manager doesn't seem to care one bit that he blocked my car in the garage that I need in the morning with a giant pile of mulch. Awful customer service.

I ordered 13 yards of mulch and received excellent service beginning to end. I rescheduled - no problem. They dumped the mulch in the exact area I expected. They kept in touch with me regarding installation time, they worked hard and professionally on the install. They were always available to answer my questions. I would highly recommend this company and will certainly use them again.

Lastyear was bad quality, they said due to bad whether and assuared us this year was much better.... we ordered 110 bales over the phone... but pipestraw is very disappointing quality. I would NOT recommend to purchase any products without inspecting it prior to order... buyer beware!!

Used this company due to a recommendation of a landscaper. I ordered 75 bales of upgraded long-leaf straw over the internet on the weekend. Got a response during the weekend (not expected). The install was was done within 48 hours and looked great. The product was delivered and priced as quoted. Great job!!

Wanted to purchase pea gravel from them. I expected to pay a delivery charge AS STATED. Was told that they couldn't bother delivering only a ton of rock! He actually laughed and said no one would bother with such an amount. Why have a delivery charge if you don't deliver?? Second time I have had bad experience with these guys. They seem not to worry whether they get your business or not. I'll do my business (which I need to do on an every-year basis for stones, pine straw, etc) somewhere else. I'd avoid these guys

In 2009 I purchased 6x6, 8 foot pressure treated timbers for a retaining wall. They were delivered on time, dumped where I wanted them in my yard, for the price and grade specified. A year later the materials are still holding up fine. I thought the delivery price ($50) I paid at the time was reasonable for the time and effort required to deliver my 50+ timbers 5 miles away. No frills, good service, and I paid less in total - delivered - than I could have gotten them at Home Depot without delivery.

Be aware that if you decide to patronize this place to watch for the bait and switch. Nothing surprises me anymore. Upon entering I asked for the cost of a bale of pine straw. Quoted $3.55 per bale I drove around to pick up a few. In the back were two trucks side by side. One with fresh red pine straw the other with bales that were gray and looked as if they had been there for some time. A worker tried to load me up with the old dull looking pine straw. I told him no thanks I would like the red fresh pine straw. I loaded up and drove around to pay. Back in the office I was confronted by the man who had quoted me $3.55 as if I was trying to pull a fast one. He said I chose the premium pine staw and that it was $4.00 per bale. Standing there with my 8yr ready to do some yard work I questioned why it would now be $4.00. After all, he never specified multiple grades of pine staw were available. Of course this elicited the good ole boy response "I'll be glad to unload your trunk" It may be petty of me to post about of all things $4 pine straw, but I think it is ridiculous that you can't even go out to buy pine straw without someone trying to hustle a few more dollars out of you.
