I was referred to Dr. Pinsky by a friend of his receptionist. I needed a cavity filled and was treated so rudely by this arrogant man. He was mean when I showed pain during his drilling and his manner made me feel like a child. When I called in pain the next day, he was rude and uncaring. When examining my teeth, he noted several problems with expensive solutions. I found a new dentist with a 5 star rating on Kudzu and Vitals. He told me that I did NOT need the procedures that Dr. Pinsky insisted that I have. RUN from this practice.

This guy could not be more condescending to his patients and to his staff. He and his staff speak to the patients as if they were children, which at 60, I do not appreciate. I heard him berate a Spanish-speaking assistant because she was speaking to me in that language. Additionally, when it was pointed out to him and his office staff that the insurance coding was not correct, they still insisted that I pay for a procedure I had. According to the insurance folks, the procedure should have been covered but Pinky or his staff had coded it incorrectly and it was therefore not covered. Avoid this guy! He is not worth the stress as his work is also mediocre at best. As I noted with some of the other reviews, these guys push deep cleaning and when you fall for the scam, the procedure is very painful since neither the hygienist nor the doctor seem to be empathetic. Just another "crying" patient and one more insurance code. They are not dentists; they are butchers cleaning the meat. Next!

Used years ago. I was going every few months and each time they claimed I needed a "deep cleaning", and wanted to upcharge me. I asked my current dentist and periodontist about their procedures and they said it didn't sound like a real deep cleaning. Then when you are checking out they want you to buy "after the fact insurance" from some lady who, for a $100 charge, gets your deep cleaning discounted. Very sketchy! Maybe things have changed since I was there.

Chose this place when I switch jobs/ins. plans due to the convenient location. Turns out this is not a good way to choose a dentist. For some reason, I tend to get very tired from the anesthesia during procedures and almost fall asleep on occasion and once when I was slow to respond Pinsky snapped to his asst. "what's wrong w/ her?!?" Another time when he was injecting a local he hit a nerve and when I reflexively cried out, I swear he bore down harder causing me excruciating pain. I had tears streaming down my face. Not likely a comfort to the folks just outside the curtain in the waiting room, I'm sure. On a separate occasion, I had scheduled a checkup/cleaning. Appt was several months out. At the time of the appt. they determined I needed a "deep cleaning" and chose not to proceed w/ the regular cleaning until my insurance approved the deep cleaning. Months later when I was informed that the deep cleaning was not approved, they could still not get me in for my regular, and by this time much delayed, cleaning until another 6 mos out. I was w/o care for about a year due to this. When I had my first appt w/ my new dentist he said I didn't even need the deep cleaning. Pinsky has no sensitivity towards his patients, and generally no "chairside" manner to speak of. I felt like I had a jaded auto mechanic working in my mouth. I heard a story in my office about a former co-worker that left his office crying. Not recommended, obviously.

I cannot believe the bad reviews for this guy! I've been going to him since 1994 and my husband has been going since 1999. He does NOT TRY to rip you off, he takes time to tell you what you need, and yes- he is quick and busy -but that is because he knows what he is doing! Give me a break -can't believe what the others said! Call him, go see him, and you will be very pleased!

If you see a good review on here, its because they wrote it. I went in this morning for an x ray and I wanted to find out about this terrible pain I am having in my tooth. The front desk was very rude and looked at me with discuss because I asked how much I was being charged. The DOCTOR was worse, he was very irritable with me and he rushed me. I need over 1,000 dollars worth of work done on one tooth and you would think they would value my business. Guess not. I left out of the office crying because I felt that disrespected. Never in my life of getting professional services done did I fell so belittled and inhuman. Please safe your self and your teeth and look for another dentist. They will misquote you prices over the phone and overcharge you once the service is complete. BEWARE...

Avoid this practice - trust me, another dentist will appreciate your business much more than Pinsky. This was without a doubt one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a dentist's office. The office manager and dentist were absolutely the rudest "professionals" I have ever met. Compentence is not an issue - just customer service.

I had very unhappy experience with this dentist, and would like to warn anybody who'd like to try him out. They don't tell you what they are going to do to your teeth, and refuse to call insurance company to find out if one exam is covered by insurance or not, and they charge you based on their rate, not the insurance contract rate. I was over charged, and when I found out, it took me 5+ trips to get the money back! Trust me, I would never ever go back to this dental office any more! And my teeth? They are worse than before!

I didn't enjoy my experience at this dentist. They told me that several things were wrong with my teeth and I went to get a second opinion and the other dentist felt like I was being "ripped off"
