Carolyn has a wonderful private studio in North Buckhead; comfortably appointed viewing and lounge area, a highly professional and functional studio with incredible lighting, and a lovely outdoor garden for special and personal sittings. Her warm and enthusiastic personality relaxed me for a whirl wind process of poses, alternative smiles, business and casual clothes. Carolyn's ease and use of her photography equipment while never losing her wonderful tone and instruction to me spoke to her years of professional experience. I quickly placed my trust in her skill and judgement and focused on her words of encouragement. A week after the session of 120 shots or more we met in her studio lounge to see her selection. Carolyn had editted her photos to 45 or so, and she led me and my daughter through a very comfortable process of selection to find the 4 or 5 photos that would be my business and social portfolio. Her artistic sense of the various portraits, purpose and our responses showed a blend of understanding, sensitivity and good business judgement that confirmed my placing my trust with her. I am thrilled with the final portraits, and had a thoroughly enjoyable session.

our photography experience with Ms. Foster dates back over 20 years. She has taken consitently excellent portraits of out children on numerous occasions and always manages to capture not only their images but their soul and their spirit. Ms. Foster is a true professional.I Rob D.

For 15 years, Carolyn Foster has taken my family's Christmas photographs, our family reunion, my professional portraits, and my website photographs. There is no one better or more experienced (she studied under Ansel Adams!) in this city. She has even managed to take exceptionally beautiful portraits of our young daughter with our two dogs (!) over the years. Carolyn brings out the true personality and beauty in her subjects, which is a remarkable talent.

In my experience, Carolyn didn't seem comfortable photographing children- something kids pick up on, unfortunately. She also seemed absent minded and preoccupied during consultations and the photo shoot. Either she was very forgetful or didn't listen closely enough to my requests. She asked some odd questions as well. Pictures were average and very over priced for the work and quality. I definitely wouldn't recommend her for high quality childrens' portraits.
