I brought in truck that was running rough and tripping multiple engine codes. James Westbrook ran a diagnostic on it and decided to replace distributor. Replaced, but still ran rough. Then decided it was a fuel problem and replaced fuel pump. Still didn't run quite right,so he dropped exaust system and visually inspected catalytic convertor.It was badly clogged up and he cleaned it out.Truck now runs as good as new! To his credit the clogged up CAT should have tripped an engine code but for some reason didn't.He then gave me a very generous discount for the distributor and fuel pump which may or may not have been causing the problem. Bottom line is that I feel James went the extra mile to fix the truck right and did so at a fair and reasonable price. Thanks James! Frank in Snellville

Mary is no longer there. New owners are crooks. Mechanics are inept. Every time I'm in there, they tell me I need more work than necessary. Then, inevitably, four weeks later, something goes wrong and I have to go in again.

Went to the Howell Mill location for the frist time this weekend. Needed a starter for my car. Got it fixed within my budget that day. Sam, Ryan and Adam did a great job. Was originally going to take it someplace else for less but Precision matched the other shop's quote. My other car's battery also happen to die that same afternoon. Got it jumped, took it to Precision to pick up the other car. Since the shop had just closed, Ryan offered to follow me to Walmart next door and install a new battery. Awesome job all around. Will definitely come back. Thanks guys.

Took my car in a few months back and was told what was wrong and what it'd cost to get it repaired. Was also tipped off to watch for a part that could potentially give me problems down the road but that it didn't need replacing yet. Very happy with service, price , and the way I was treated. It's nice to have a place that doesn't try to rip you off. I hope all Precision Tune stores are just as good, shame everyone isn't as customer oriented.

We have been taking both of our cars to this branch of Precision Tune for over 2 years now & have always been very pleased with the service. The staff is courteous, the service is prompt, & the prices are very fair. Mary & her team go above-&-beyond to give her customers quality work & good prices! I recommend this Precision Tune to anyone seeking car repair service.

I wanted to make sure that I gave credit to Mary and the folks over at Precision. Another shop put me in a bad place by ruining my air conditioning system, and Mary and her crew fixed it quickly and correctly and also tried to save me as much money as they could. They are also taking the time to help me recover my funds from the other shop, which is extremely generous. Thanks guys!

To "Sprinkill" who wrote the bad review: I was in the customer lounge the day you were there arguing & abusing the staff. Mary was kind to you and you know that is not the whole truth - old, high mileage & poorly maintained car when it was brought in. Corporate offices often refund money just to make you go away - but of course you know that. People of your character are just not worth the time. Precision Tune on Howell Mill Road & Mary are GREAT & trustworthy. I don't let ANYONE touch my car except the mechanics at Mary's shop. Shame on you for that big fat lie. Enjoy the refund - because it's going to cost you 10 times that much for what you did to these nice people.

Precision Tune is the only place I will go. I trust the mechanics to fix what is wroing and not something else. I am always greeted with a smile. I know I am going to get the best price. They keep me informed so there are no surprises. The work they do is backed up with a warranty. Every visit is always consistant that is why I keep coming back.

Took my car in for a water pump/timing belt job and they nearly destroyed the car. They timed the engine wrong by three teeth on the timing belt and said it was a bad oxygen sensor. Bear in mind, folks, I had suggested to them numerous times they had timed the engine wrong and they ignored me. Once they had me captive, they started throwing out B.S. evaluations trying to get me to pay a $2K bill for repairs. I eventually got the car off the lot and took it to a dealership. They found the bad timing belt, and told me it was the Precision Tune's fault. When I wrote a letter to "Precision Tune's" corporate office, "Mary" who was so praised in the first review, left me a voicemail that stated the following: "I'm sorry you didn't have the balls to confront me in person, [blah, blah, more b.s., blah]." After she spoke to her regional manager, she agreed to refund for the repairs. It took me about 5 months and constant reminding on my part to get the refund. Oh by the way, she charged me for a C.V. joint they didn't actually install in the car. She came clean about that after I wrote that letter. I suppose she figured I'd find out and she would have even more to answer for. I would not suggest anyone go to the Precision Tune on Howell Mill Rd in Atlanta, GA. To the person lambasting me in a later review: I never discussed this issue inside the shop, so you must have me confused w/ someone else. I was never impolite to the staff. Get your facts straight.

It is SO hard to find a trustworthy shop to work on our cars...NOT anymore! I am a certified mechanic, but not working on cars at the present time, so I am overly sceptical about mechanics & shops and usually do all the work myself. This review comes with all the enthusiasm and PRAISE it deserves. I was in a spot to get our car fixed the day of a trip. After reading several reviews on KUDZU, I called...I met Mary (the owner) at the front counter after calling and feeling welcome just from that. These people ARE as helpful and as honest as every review here says! Every customer in the waiting room was a regular and spoke WELL of the YEARS they had been going there. I was offered a ride back to work, a ride when the car was fixed, an estimate up front, and repairs that matched that estimate! Our car was fixed right the first time, and they even took the time to mention other items that were all needed-one that I had missed! Nothing unneeded was attempted and no selling was pushed! A+ 100% I would send my mom to them anytime! Great Honest Dependable and friendly. Well done. (update 03/20/06) Had another problem on I-20 today. Not only did they tow me in and give me a ride to work ON TIME, but they again fixed the car right and only charged me what they paid for parts! I cannot say enough good about them! Stop looking-Call Mary!

I have found the wait time for a quick oil change or other service to be long. It seems as if a lot of people use this location for major repairs and so I have had a hard time getting in and out. Friendly people and fair pricing.
