Get a second opinion!, 3/22/2013

Have their estimates double checked by a reputable repair shop. I took my car in for an oil change, a bumping sound, and an oil leak. For the bumping sound and leak they gave me an estimate of $1772!... Their diagnosis didn't seem right to me so I took the car to a specialist. Nothing that they identified was what was wrong with the car! It was ball joints and a power steering leak -- not shocks, valve covers, and wheel bearings. Plus the oil filter they installed had collapsed and the o-ring wasn't replaced which caused a new leak at the oil filter. Beware -- they were just trying to generate unjustified income.

Talk to Women Like They Are Stupid!!, 10/21/2010

Precision Tune is not doing the warranty work promised on my KIA Sedona a/c. What concerns me for other women is patronizing tone owner-Scott, took when he called me to try and fix the situation, not... my car. I explained I was unsatisfied considering money spent in May to have the a/c fixed, for it to work a few brief months. He says the bill shows I got a great price on the compressor and should be pleased, he explained he could never give that price in his Marietta shop. This comment concerns me, I explained he didn’t give me any better price than he would have given anyone else coming into his shop on that day driving that model car. If he does, then he was bigger issues going on, gender biases and racism. I again explained all I wanted was for Precision Tune to correct the mistake made in May, they didn’t replace a hose needing to be replaced and they should now replace it with limited cost to me. Scott made the following reference – “Ms. Black if you bought four tires and then suddenly your speedometer stopped working, would you hold the shop that sold you tires responsible.” Apparently, Scott thinks women are completely stupid! How is that relative? But I do believe the hoses connected to the compressor, Precision Tune replaced, should have either been replaced initially or not gone bad. Yes, I find them relative to the air conditioning, which should’ve been fixed in May.

Warranty NOT!!

In May of 2010, I took my KIA Sedona to the Precision Tune in Douglasville to have the air conditioning repaired. They informed me the compressor needed to be replaced and I spent over $700 to have to replaced. I was told this cost warrantied the parts and labor for 1 year. About 2 months the air stopped working again. Unfortunately I have to have my car to get back in forth to work and had to wait until I could borrow someones car to get mine into the shop. Driving in the miserable heat the whole time, waiting. I dropped it off last night and now Scott is telling me its going to cost another $400+ to get it repaired because some a/c line needs to be replaced and that wasn't covered under the intial a/c repairs. I'm sure that if the correct procedures had been followed the first time and all lines and hoses checked they would have found that this line was leaking back then too and it should have been fixed with the intial visit! I would not recommend Precision Tune, nor will I ever return to Precision Tune, except to pick up my car this afternoon! Terrible warranty, terrible customer service!

Informative, High Quality, Great Prices

These guys are great. They gave me a prompt diagnostic with what is wrong with my car. Took the time to explain it to me and also show me the problem on my vehicle. Did not feel pressure and was confident the price and information they gave me were the best. Service was done by the time they stated. Would defiantly go back and feel confident. Also love the fact that if something does go wrong, I can take it to any of their shops and they will fix it.
