We had our daughters wedding here last Sat, the food was cold, the guests complained to me thast the asst wedding director was extremely rude. The flowers were VERY skimpy. Everything was pretty... average. The chocolate fountain wasn't anything near what we saw at "Romancing the Bride, netiher was anything else. Not "wowed". NOT worth the price.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Very pleasant to work with as a fellow vendor, food was outstanding. The person in charge was very friendly and professional, her assistant seemed to have a bit of an attitude but that was not... present in the rest of the staff. Everything about our Reception exceeded our expectations! We were very impressed with the level of organization and were so happy we could relax (even in the days before the wedding) at our Reception and have a good time because we knew everything was under control. I received SO MANY compliments from our guests about the food and I LOVED my flowers! The Design Department did a wonderful job and was great with handling a few last minute changes…a great value for the money. We still have our guests raving about the food! We loved all of it! Being able to attend “Romancing The Bride”, where we could taste the food to help pick out our menu, was very useful. Their level of service was great and we especially loved that Primrose made planning the wedding very simple.
Primrose Cottage was AMAZING! I didn't have to worry about anything. Everyone from Primrose Cottage had everything covered and absolutely NOTHING went wrong. It truly was the BEST day of our lives :) They are extremely professional and organized. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. Guests made positive comments about the venue and one even said if she had a daughter she would want her wedding to be at Primrose. Great experience!
I had a fantastic experience at primrose cottage. The service, food, decor and everything was top notch. We wanted a very special wedding and that is exactly what Primrose provided. They made the planning and wedding day worry free. We didn't have to worry about any of the details, the staff took care of everything as if it was their own special day. My guests are still raving about the food, flowers, and primrose a year later! Anyone who has shopped around in Atlanta for wedding venues will appreciate the service and pricing.

From the moment I saw Primrose Cottage on the internet, I knew I wanted to check it out for my upcoming wedding. The grounds and home are quite beautiful. When you enter the front door, there is a sign that states someone will be with you in a moment...please make yourself comfortable. So, my fiance' looked around a bit and waited. Then we waited some more. We heard people meeting upstairs so we didn't want to disturb them. After 30 minutes past our appointment time, we decided to see if anyone was going to bother with us at all. One girl upstairs said she didn't hear us come in and shooed us back downstairs to wait. Once our meeting began we spent the first 15 minutes listening to what was going on with the previous couple and how hectic their plans were. Hmm. The meeting continued with our wedding constantly being referred to as a "production" which is not what we were looking for. Then when pricing was discussed, not a lot was included in the "all-inclusive" package. We decided to go with another beautiful antebellum home in the area for less cost and everything actually included...and then some. Also, Primrose staff did not follow up with me or my fiance' on our visit there until more than a month later. When I advised them we were going with another location, the girl said ok and hung up the phone. Thank goodness, we made the right choice.
One month after our daughter's wedding, we received a call that we owned over $1200 in charges. An error had been found in the billing for the food. Mind you we were requested to pay the final bill in advance before the day of the wedding. My husband and I were really put off and dismayed that they would have the gall to do such a thing. We had budgeted a certain amount of money and we were somewhat under the budget so we spent the rest of it on extras. In the end, we decided to settle for half the amount so Primrose would not harass our newlyweds with another final bill. Had we known we were going to be charged extra, we would not have spent the extra money. In all fairness to Primrose, the wedding was lovely.
While I loved the atmosphere and ambiance of this venue, I was very suprised the day of my wedding with the floral department (in house). With the amount of money we spent on flowers I was very disappointed when my centerpieces and bridesmaid flowers were skimpy.
Primrose did my sister's wedding this summer, it was a dream come true! It could not have been more perfectly put together! Primrose is a great place for weddings!! The staff was so helpful! I would definately recommend it.
I had my wedding at Primrose. While it was a beautiful location, I felt like I was totally ripped off. The food, drink, flowers, etc all added up to much more than it should have been. I would have done better to go to a place that was NOT all inclusive.
This is a great place to hold the wedding and reception. The facilities are very nice and the staff is great.
