I went into the showroom in November and purchased a fixture. The sales lady promised it would be delivered to my home. I called several times beginning in mid-December to find out the status, and when I could expect delivery. Eventually I called only to be told that the fixture was in, and had been for several days, and the salesperson didn't know why I hadn't been notified or delivery arrangements made. She promised delivery by FedEx in 2 days, then called back the next day to say the box was too big (too expensive, I'm sure!) to ship, and that the store manager lived out my way and would hand deliver it 'on Thursday'. I told the salesperson to have the fixture placed on my (covered) front porch if I wasn't home. Turned out I was home all day, but no delivery. I waited patiently until Saturday for delivery, before leaving a message by phone. Finally Tuesday (my salesperson if off Sunday and Monday) called to tell me that the light had been delivered, but was left on the basement-level back patio. I went out to find a soaking wet box with the fixture, left out in the rain all weekend. Why wouldn't the person delivering such an expensive item at least try to ring the doorbell? Why wouldn't they leave it in a covered location - particularly because I would have seen it on the front porch immediately and brought it in? When my electrician came to hang the fixture, he pointed out several spots of rust and a missing crystal. Still, no response from Progressive.

Unfortunately, I agree with the other reviews. I have been in this store several times only to be disappointed every single time. I have finally learned my lesson, I will never go back. I have never been approached by a salesperson to see if help could be provided. If you are fortunate enough to find one, they act annoyed when asked for help. I had not been there in a while so I thought that maybe things had changed. I am currently building a house and my builder suggested that I go to Progressive so I went back yesterday. Again, no one asked if I needed any help. I was finally approached by someone that told me the store was actually closed although there were other shoppers making selections. After stammering from shock, I said "ok, I'll leave". He merely replied, "ok". He never once asked if he could help in any way or to please come back during business hours. I have never experienced such horrible customer service. I can't render an opinion on the quality and value because I never had the opportunity to evaluate them.

We bought all our lighting from Progressive 12 years ago; Good quality and good service. I was warned that it had changed and that you could not get anyone to help. I didn't believe it from times past. Well, it was more than true. I went in and wandered around and was told that it would be a long wait. I then called to see if I could get someone on the phone. The person on the phone 'was too busy at the moment' but would 'get one of the other sales people to call me that afternoon'. It has been 2 weeks and no call. I always check Kudzu first and then Yelp. I should have believed the reviews. Not good at all, Progressive. How can you turn that many customers away? this long time one won't be back.

Contentious sales help (if you're lucky enough to find someone), inflated prices and non-existent follow up after the sale. Product quality and showroom viewing are helpful, but expect to be ignored. Then you might hear the staff complaining at their desks while you wait to be ignored again. Odd place.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I recently visited looking for a replacement foyer chandelier and have never seen such blatant disregard for customers!! I had a question, went to the back of the store to customer service and asked for assistance. An associate rudely told me she was assisiting someone else and that I could go up front and ask the receptionist. The receptionist??!!There were at least 4 other sales people in the back and not one of them said "someone will be with you in a moment" or even acknowleged that I was a customer waiting to be helped. I waited another 5 minutes as sales associates ignored me. Finally, I decided that even if I found something, they didn't deserve the sale, so I left! The only thing I can say about price is that from what I could tell, the previous reviewer was right. For the short time I was there, I saw lots of red "50% off" tags on items, that once reduced, the price would still be high in comparison. Between the poor customer service and inflated prices, I don't see how they stay open. I'll be gladly taking my business elsewhere!

This place operates on a pretend permanent 50% discount. Every lighting fixture is "listed" at a very laughably high price. Then they put an "X" through it and expect us to believe that the "half" price is really a good deal. Only the "half" price is a good twice as much as Home Depot or Lowes (who aren't exactly lighting discounters). They do have a good selection of rather attractive lighting fixtures, but they are mostly the facade-type that are made of very thin and flimsy metals. So you're not really getting what you pay for. When we were remodelling, we went in here to check it out and didn't stay long. Some people were treated to good service, but we had to hunt for help and it took a while to get anybody's attention.
