The alarm didn't go off when someone broke in a window directly across from the motion detector. When contacted, Protection One primarily blamed us for not activating the alarm properly. When THEIR technician came out the next day and proved that the alarm was properly set, they kept on mentioning the contract and denied all responsibility. After a couple of weeks we tested the system and it still didn't trigger the alarm. They sent out another technician but said it tested out fine. They still deny any flaws with their system and all responsibility and even blamed us for lying about a "perfectly fine" system yet failed to provide an answer why the system didn't trigger the alarm when we were burglarized. Won't even replace the system and asked for more money to add more features to the current system.

Unfortunately, I signed a year contract which I will certainly not be renewing. After 6 months, our system has suffered annoying failures causing almost weekly false alarms. Their customer service is poor and slow and they have not been helpful or responsive in trouble-shooting our system. We have also had billing errors. I would NOT recommend them to anyone.
