I used a credit card that I have used only once: to pay for PureFitness monthly billing, which I started in Jan 2011 (Purefitness at Greenway and 32nd St in Phoenix). In Feburary the cc company sent me a fraud alert asking me to confirm charges for online services including eharmony.com, which I have never used. The cc info could only have come from someone accessing the card info from Purefitness, as I had used that card nowhere else. The amounts were small, I think intended to slip by the unwary. Check your cc statement carefully to see if you have fraudlent charges.

For the money ($18 a month), Pure Fitness at 35th and northern in safeway shopping center is perfect. I will eventually go back to 24 hr fitness when I have $600 more to spend for 3 year membership but if you just want a short term gym with good personal trainers.....I highly recommend Pure Fitness at 35th and northern. Ask for CJ to get a free personal training session. It is clean , not crowded ever.....and the staff helps everyone!!

I've been a member here for a couple years, it's an OK gym and I'm a member because it is inexpensive. That being said, be aware that few people here carry workout towels or clean the equipment, and management does nothing to encourage cleanliness. There are a couple of squirt bottles of cleaner that are sometimes empty, and when available they are rarely used. Otherwise it's an OK place if you are on a tight budget like me.

Pure fitness is a very affordable way to get in shape. They offer 1 free personal training session a month and the staff is always around to help you achieve your goals!
