Quality Inn & Suites Conference Center

WOW, I was completely dismayed by the attitude of the staff at this hotel. In the past I 've worked in hospitality for many years and would never have treated a paying guest in such a way, \r\rIn short they run a coupon system here and whoa-betide anyone who does not use the coupon correctly. \r\rI bought two nights at this hotel, each night coming with breakfast. This seems simple enough. The first morning my wife, child and I chose to sleep in late after a travelling the day before. We did not have breakfast at the hotel. Now going back to the coupons, if you don't use a coupon for breakfast you can use it for a drink at the bar. So we did that. \r\rThe next morning we went to have breakfast and were informed that breakfast would not be included since we had already used our coupon. What? I had two coupons in my hand, how can that be? If I now understand this correctly the day you eat breakfast must be different to the day you have a drink??!??! HUH? Why make it so complicated? As a guest, I really didn't care what the ""paperwork"" said, I just wanted the breakfast I had already paid for. It seems to me this should be simple to correct, but this is where the attitude of the staff really came to the fore\r\rI was informed by the receptionist that this was my mistake and if had followed the system precisely I would not be having this problem. I should have understood the system and this cannot be corrected. I asked to speak to the manager and was informed this hotel does not have one at the weekend. Eventually I was allowed to speak with Ron (?), the restaurant manager. Ron was equally uninterested, made a point of arguing against everything I said and was adamant that he was going to win this. How he ever got a job working with the public is beyond me.\r\rThe upshot? I didn't get what I paid for and the stay was soured by this experience. \rI won't stay with Quality Inns again and I'm making a point of sharing my experience so others can avoid the same fate.\...
