We needed to enclose a stairwell and put up a baby gate. We found a photo of the style we liked, and Thomas was able to replicate it exactly, and build a custom gate. He even brought us samples so we could test the stain color and be sure we were headed in the right direction. We were very pleased with the experience and with the final product.

This is the second time that I have used Quality Rails to install new balusters. Thomas does a great job. Anyone who comes into our house always comments how great our staircase looks. I will always recommend Quality Rails & Trim.

Thomas did an excellent job repairing and updating my mid-70's rickety staircase. Someone had tried to update it before we bought the house but hadn't done a good job. Thomas came out, LISTENED to what we wanted done (very rare in these times!). He provided a clear, detailed and accurate quote for the job in a timely manner. He made suggestions for the job that not only saved us money, but made the staircase look even better than we imagined. You can hire QR&T with confidence. Thomas and Rosa were available to answer questions and provide clarifications quickly via e-mail or phone. Thomas is detailed and tidy- there was never a mess nor were we left with an inconvenient pile of "construction stuff" at the end of the day. Highly recommended, we are glad we found QR&T on Kudzu.

My wife and I were truly pleased at the work Quality Rails & Trim did replacing our wooden balusters with decorative iron railings. It changed the look of the whole house and was surprisingly affordable. Plus, the craftsmanship was superior; you can't tell that these were an "after-market" accessory. Highly recommended.

QR&T retreaded both of my previously carpeted stairs, and placed hardwood flooring on the landings last week. I had gotten bids from 5 companies, all highly rated from Kudzu, but I knew after talking with Thomas and his crew that his would be the company I chose, even before recieving his bid. Though all the bidders were very professional, Thomas asked questions about MY stairs, inspected how they were built, then told me what to expect as the job moved forward based on what he found. I could tell he was going to either be doing the work himself, or intimately involved with the process. He didn't just measure and leave. He did what he said he'd do with the utmost quality, not only on his part but those who worked with him. Kept the job site clean and was very respectful of my time. The price was in the middle of the 5 bids, and well worth it. Everyone who has seen the work has been highly impressed. I am ecstatic!

We had gotten a quote from another company offering a coupon on their work before contacting Quality Rails and Trim but after meeting with them not only was the bid lower without any coupon but he took the time to explain and actually draw out what the rails would look like and why certain things that the other company was trying to "sell" us would not enhance our stairs. We would definitely recommend this company. They were prompt, neat and did a beautiful job on installation. All our friends have commented about the "richness" it adds to our foyer.

Quality Rails has to be the best company I have ever used. Because of today's economic woes, my husband and I decided against buying a new home. Instead, we chose to upgrade our current home, which we purchased in 1998. The first thing I wanted to do was change the white balusters on our stairs and replace them with wrought iron. I called three (major) companies, before I was lucky enough to contact Quality Rails. Rosa and Tom were prompt, professional and provided outstanding service. Their price quote was well within my budget. But the thing I liked best about them was the fact that their company had a "Mom and Pop" feel when it came to service. Our home went from a circa 1998 look to a modern 2008 look. With the money we saved, we were able to start remodeling our kitchen. What an OUTSTANDING business!!!!!

It took me a year to decide to have it done.I had 3 estimates and they were the best AFFORDABLE, RELIABLE. TOM, ROSA AND HIS NIECE ARE FRIENDLY. Tom help me to remove my old countertop, because we are replacing it with a new one. HE ALSO CHECKED MY DOOR, BECAUSE IT WAS LOOSE. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THEM. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD QUALITY OF JOB, THEY ARE THE ONE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. I LOVE OUR NEW STAIR AND VERY SATISFY WITH THEIR JOB. THEY ARE THE BEST IN TOWN.

We love our new stairs, they are like a piece of furniture. Thomas does a quality job and is a craftsman and does what he says he is going to do. He also put up crown molding throughout our house and it looks great, a real addition.

I highly recommend Quality Rails. They came when they said they would and their price was the best of all the ones in the area. They came and did the job and cleaned up, something other companies can't claim. Rosa was great to work with and Tom really listened to my requests. I would use them again if needed.

Don't hesitate to hire this family-run business to install your new iron balusters and railings. Thomas and Rosa were awesome to work with. I was very particular about my baluster choices, wanting to do something modern and different, and wanted iron newels (maybe I'm the first customer they've had with this preference?). Rosa worked tirelessly to find options that fit my style. The actual work done by Thomas and his assistant was done quietly, quickly and neatly (they vacuumed themselves constantly, which I really appreciated as we are finishing up a very messy renovation). The stair/railing work is top-notch quality, too! Oh, and did I mention that Quality Rails & Trim's prices were about 1/2 that of the other two quotes we received? You really can't go wrong! Thanks, Rosa & Thomas!

Thomas took a set of clunky vintage 1978 stairs, railings and ballusters and designed and installed an up to date, elegant look. The work totally transformed our entry and stairs leading to the living room/dining area as well as the second floor. Workmanship is superb. Cost is very fair. He accomodated our demanding work schedule (both my wife and I have jobs). I will be using him to install trim, flooring as well as our new doors. Very highly recommended.

Great quality and craftmanship at a very reasonable price. We did have to reschedule installation several times due to a back up in their schedule. But I would definitely use them again and recommend them highly!
