I am a new member to this program. I was very skeptical at first, and was unsure how this program would work for me. I figured what else do I have to lose? I am overweight, and working out at the gym everday is not working. I was not sure of what food groups I should eat, how much, how often ect. I decided to really commit myself and give it a shot. The program is fantastic. During the detox phase, I was amazed at how full I was after each meal. I have not felt like that for a very long time. I have lost 6lbs, and already feel good. The program is costly, but compared to many of the other weight loss programs, this is relativley cheap. I like that I am re-educating myself ( with the help of the staff) on what to each eat day. This is a lifestyle change, and the knowlege that I gain will assist me, not only now as I am losing the weight, but also for the rest of my life, to be able to maintain the weight loss. I will be happy when I am able to keep it under control myself. There is no pre packaged meals at all. You are able to buy all the food you normally do a the grocery store. They do have some vitamins, and supplements, but this is really to assist you, in your weight loss. This is the first time, that I have seen the scale move in years!!! I will continue on at QWLC and update my progress regulary. There is a soloution to weight loss, and it is at QWLC!

They promote eating a healthy, low fat diet high in protein, vegetables and fruit. Sugar is eliminated. They promote a way of life vs. a crash diet. The staff is great. It is costly, but well worth it if you have a lot to lose. The only thing I think they are missing is the promotion of exercise.

The reason for my low rating is that it is not medically sound. Just any other diet I had tried, I was required to eat only a limited amount of food (with more as I progressed). I also was expected (strongly pressured) to purchase their "supplements", which were a part of my "allowable foods list". Of course I lost weight quickly with the drastic cut in food choices, butlike any other diet, that way of eating is not a sustainable way to improve your eating habits or carry for a lifetime. On the plus side, the staff was very friendly and the hours (also open on Saturdays)were convenient. However if you want a medically based weight loss you should seek out a qualified nutritionist, physician, and/or trainer because the staff here are salespeople. After their start-up fees, program fees, and supplements, the only thing that weighed less were my pockets.
