All entrees are in the double digits for this eating hole. Used to be such a great place to eat 10yrs ago. The menu is nothing to talk about, it's like eating air. You're paying for the rent/mortgage to keep them open.

R Thomas was a nice little treat a few years back. Now it suffers from reduced portions and semi-OK service. Sure there are birds to see and a cool hipster feeling while in the tent, but the price does not satisfy your belly's need for delicious food. There are far better vegetarian/vegan restaurants out there, sadly this is not one of them. Mediocre at best.

It had been a while since I had visited R. Thomas. I was embarrassed when I recommended it for lunch with some co-workers. First, I don't quite remember the prices being what they were. To me $20 for lunch isn't reasonable, especially nowadays and especially when healthy food isn't hard to get as it used to be. Secondly, the portions were minuscule -- ordered chips and salsa "crumbs n red stuff" and my salad might have had 3 leaves of lettuce. Finally, the food wasn't that tasty. My smoothie tasted watered down when compared to Arden's Garden and it was more expensive. There just isn't an excuse for R. Thomas when there are other options. They need to adjust or they'll meet the fate of their neighbors.

Pay close attention to the unusual collection of parrots and other birds that reside in cages just outside the front door. Your eyes will behold a feast of colors from the wild decor that covers the entrance way. Your ears will be soothed by the pleasant sounds of water cascading from the fountain. The non-stop conversational hum that echos across the covered heated patio stems from the ever flowing parade of individuals from all walks of life who amble in through the door. You may be surprised at the simple table settings of card tables and plastic patio chairs, but don't let that stop you.n People flock here for one thing, and one thing only: THE FABULOUS FOOD!! Yerba Mate tea, Edimame, the Thai bowl, corn-potato chowder, baked wings, various pastas, cashew cheese dip, Thai basil wraps, Portobello burger, fresh fruit smoothies/shakes, vegan cakes! If this gets your taste buds drooling, then head down Peachtree Road to your new home!

What a fun place. Lots of different dishes, all good. Lots of good vegetarian stuff. I am not a vegetarian but lots of that stuff is good.

I love this place, and it's a favorite of out-of-town guests I take there. They serve yummy, healthy food, at reasonable prices. Love the funky decor and the exotic birds outside.

Next time you're out on the town and you hear your stomach rumble, forget the greasy Waffle House and IHop joints. R Thomas is open 24 hours a day and offers healthier options for late-night snackers like myself. It specifically appeals to the crowd that enjoys organically grown foods and to vegetarians/vegans. Although they have a variety of dishes for the omnivores as well, I still always end up ordering anything with tempeh -- it's simply excellente.

Great food, healthy options for vegetarians and omnivores alike, funky atmosphere, what more can you ask for? I've loved this place since freshman year in college, and I can't stop going back. It's the last restaurant I ate at before leaving for Peace Corps, and the first I ate at when I returned. Try the Thai Peanut Quinoa dish (don't remember the name), banana chocolate chip cake, and the yerba mate!

This is not your typical Atlanta restaurant adn I mean that in a good way. Their dishes are unique, healthy and taste great. highly recommend the Quinoa as a side or in soup. Any flavor of tea you. Breakfasts are especially yummy. DOn't let the veggie focus fool you this is good stuff !

Before, when it was late, I was hungry and too lazy to cook, I often end up in the Taco Cabana. When (re-read 1st sentence) anything tastes good. Not long ago I tried R. Thomas and I am happy to report I'll only go back to the Cabana when my bottle of Tums is about to expire. It is good! I went back in daylight and sober and it was just as good! Their manu has an adequate variety of simple and creative dishes and everything we tried made us smile. It was also a very good value for you $.

I eat here quarterly because several of the folks I work with are vegetarians. The food is pretty good but it's definitely a menu for folks who want stuff like kale, quinoa and free range meat. Service is always slow and often almost to the point of condescending.

this late nite cafe is nice becuase its 24 hours but the food is so so at best and the service leaves more to be desired not to mention when i left a item of clothing there and called asap to have them put it up for me, i came days later and it was either stolen or thrown away. not good customer service when they promised me it was there and then " couldn't find it" .

This was one of the best eating experiences I have ever had. Now I know what real chicken is supposed to taste like. For dessert, I have to recommend the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake - even after finishing dinner, it was an unbelievably good dessert.
