They do a good job. You will pay $50 for an oil change. They aren't going to get you in the door with a $17.95 special on oil and then find $200 more in stuff that needs doing. But they are going to charge you $50 to do the oil change. My advice - change your own oil and air filter, and then let them take care of the bigger items.

I was truly disappointed in the service I received from RDS Automotives. I took my car in to RDS Automotive based on a referral from a business associate. I own a 13 year old luxury car. I had a oil leak that I wanted repaired. Tom told me that it wasn't worth it to fix the oil leak and to start looking for a newer model car. He made some other unnecessary repairs on my car and charged me approximately $400 (bushing, etc). I also had some very distractive squeaking noise on my car. I asked Tom to fix that as well. I suggested that it might be related to the struts. Tom had his service technicians change my relatively new struts and charge me another $450 or greater. He claimed the struts were put on incorrectly and that was the cause of the squeaking noise. When I picked up my car I asked Tom if the squeaking noise was corrected and he said it was. As soon as I put the car in reverse I heard the squeaking noise. It was now louder than before. It is obvious that Tom and his auto technicians did not even test drive my car. I called Tom back and let him know that the squeaking noise had not been corrected. He told me to bring the car back in. I never brought the car back in because it is inconvenient for my work schedule and he is not open on Saturdays. I talked to a friend a month later who recommended that I take my car to Mecauto in Chamblee. Mecauto fixed my oil leak and the squeaking noise, + some for under $600. RDS does NOT do a quality job INCOMPETENT techs! Stay AWAY!

I have owned a ford bronco for twelve years. I have been to a million mechanics over the years and Tom and RDS are the best. They are veteran mechanics and very honest.

Tom at RDS was a great find. With my husband in the middle east I have to do all the car maintenance myself. I know I can trust Tom and the guys at RDS to take care of my vehicles and not take advantage of me.

Tom at RDS is great! I took a recommendation from a friend to take my car here for service and Tom was very helpful. As a woman taking a car into a shop, I always feel like I am being jerked around and Tom and is crew seemed to be very honest and told me things I needed to correct now and things that could wait. I'll definitely go back.

Tom and crew at RDS are not your typical mechanics. They actually care about fixing your vehicle quickly, efficiently, and are kind people. They've never tried to sell me something I don't need and do super work. No, I don't work there nor am I related to anyone that does! Seriously, consider them and only them for your automotive needs and avoid outrageous dealer prices for repair costs!

I was surprised to read the negative review. I have been using RDS Automotive Service for several years and have had a very positive experience with them. They work by appointment and, unless there is an issue that requires unusual diagnosis or parts, they are able to take care of my car the same day. They are very good about calling me with an estimate, and if things are going to cost more than the original estimate, they call to get my approval. I have found them to honest and pleasant to deal with, and they bend over backwards to make sure that my car is serviced in a timely manner. I do not hesitate to recommend their services to my friends and neighbors.

To start I used this site to find him and by the reviews I decided to go for it. I left my car at the shop early in the morning and kept calling to see if they had gotten the keys their suppose to open at 8:00am. I finally got a hold of someone at 9:30am. And then I had to keep calling them back to see what was going with my car. My car was overheating and has a oil leak. They ignored the oil leak altogether and when I first called I ask if they worked on Olds Aurora he told me he did and to bring it in. He checked for the overheating decided to change out the thermastat really didn't know what was wrong with the car and then I had my cousin to call him who is also a mech, but just didn't have the time to look at right away. he asked if he checked a pile of other things one being the temp sensor he said no to all. He finally checked it he didn't call me back. When I got there gave a bill for 119.47 including 75.00 of labor and told me I had a bad sensor and never checked the oil leak. And told me he was not that familar with my vehicle. Thanks buddy

Tom went the extra mile in all of the repairs, told me what needed to be done, what he recommended, what he would wait on and the costs. he picked up and delivered the cars. he took the car to a front end shop and had them do the alignment he could not. the vehicle runs great now.

I took my "new" car there to get an initial inspection, and they are very friendly. They even called a week or two later to ask how the car was performing. I truly appreciate businesses that care enough to follow up with their clients!
