On two occassions I have returned to the store seeking assistance in obtaining repairs for items purchased there that stopped working for unknown reasons. In each case significant time had elapsed since the purchase and I was not expecting a free lunch. Each time the store replaced the item without fuss or fanfare. Aside from the fact that I probably spend a fortune there over the year, I love this merchant and their business policies. Many others should take lessons.

REI has a great policy of being able to return any purchase at anytime. However, you see it in the price. The original idea of the coop was to get quality goods at a better price. There is no question the quality is great, but you can usually pay almost 20% less for most items just by going online.
