RPM Tree Service

Met Wayne Lankster and Heath Lane at a gas station and they handed me an RPM business card in mid November. After numerous ignored phone calls Wayne and Heath finally showed up bright and early December 4th. Everything seemed fine. They cut down our 3 unwanted river birch trees. They cleaned up and made it look like they weren't even here all except for the 3 stumps they left behind. They said someone would show the following week to remove the stumps. Long story short, it's now January 7 and I still have the 3 stumps in my yard and a letter from my HOA threatening me. I called Wayne earlier this week, heard him pick up his phone, then he hung up. Called him back and of course I got the voicemail. I should have known not to expect any more service when Wayne had me write the check out to Lance. Don't do business with this horrible company.

I selected RPM based on one referral, my Dad. He has used RPM on a couple of occasions. Sorry Kudzu but I consider him a better authority. I received some helpful pruning advice in the process of Lance giving me an estimate on cutting down some trees. They showed up late BUT they called me. They were late on getting the stumps ground down BUT very apologetically responded to get the job finished. I would give them five stars but they rubbed the root of another tree while doing their work. No worries… I can honestly say that I will use them again.

We had RPM come out to our house to give us an estimate on a job- we wanted to trees removed. Lance talked to us about why we wanted to remove the trees and spent some time walking around our yard giving us advice on other things we could do to improve the health of our other trees. He offered to prune two cherry trees at no additional charge if we used him for our tree removal.

We liked him enough that we booked him for the job even though he didn't have the most competitive rate (although he was very close).

When his 8am Monday morning appointment rolled around he was nowhere to be found and he wasn't answering his phone. Two hours later he left a voicemail saying something had come up and he wasn't sure if he could fit us in that week.

We canceled and went with someone else. Like RPM, they were certified arborists. Unlike RPM, they showed up up and did the job, and did it for less than RPM quoted us.

I assume the work RPM does is good based on other reviews, but I didn't get a chance to find out since the communication on their end was poor enough that we felt we had to go with someone else to make sure the job got done.

If we have the need for a tree removal service in the future I wouldn't be opposed to giving them another chance.

After getting four quote's, RPM had the best price and came out to give me an estimate when they said they would.I recommend RPM to two of my friends. And they were satisfied with the quality and price of there service.

I had 3 LARGE trees taken down very close to my house. I had gotten many quotes and compares many refrences. RPM was a good choice. They were on time, did a great job and excellent cleanup. One tree behind the house that had limited access, they actually cut down and hand-carried all the pieces to the front yard to dispose of them. I was totally pleased with my experience with them, and would certainly recommend them.
