This company is the WORST! They have been working on a job at our home that was only supposed to take 4 days for over two weeks. The reason being that they have repeatedly done a crappy job and have had to come back to repair the same things over and over again. They NEVER SHOW UP ON TIME and are typically over an hour late to the scheduled appointment times. Their work is so bad that there are several areas in my house where they have not even bothered to try to match the paint to the original paint job so it just looks spotty and cheap. There's an area where they didn't even paint at all and left the drywall completely exposed. I will NEVER contract this company to do additional work.

Very disappointed that we could not get any discount for being a returning customer for a Water Heater that was also installed by Rakeman 3 years ago. Plus we were forced to get a permit which we had to chase down and took 3 calls to receive.

Everyone has had a bad experience with a plumber. I work for this company and have never had a bad experience with a good customer of mine and i have alot of return customers. I treat my customers with the respect that they deserve and know that they are happy when i leave. For all the customers that have a bad experience i have to say sorry and would like to see you all give us another chance.

I wish I had something to rate them on, but they were a No Show, No Call twice! I will never call again. With so many plumbers in town, they should really be careful with treating potential customers like this. Too bad I didnt see the other reviews on Kudzu before I called Rakeman. Big waste of time, sitting at home, waiting for nothing.

I wish I would have known about kudzu.com before I hired rakeman plumbing. The other 2 reviews would have saved me $93. I got the same treatment they did. No warning of the $93 estimate fee, and they way overbid my job...by hundreds. The managers wont return my phone calls, and the little secretary girl will not connect me to any member of management. She said it happens all the time, and she is sorry she didn't tell me about the fee. I dont know if I got the same guy that the other reviewers on kudzu.com got, but if you were to see this guy walking down the street, you would lock your car doors quickly. Very scary looking. Take it from us on kudzu, do some research before hiring a plumber in this town, and please dont use Rakeman Plumbing. You will end up with $93 less than you had yesterday, and still have the plumbing problem you were trying to fix in the first place. Then, you have to wait a couple of days more to get another plumber out. Its a pain!

I can't beleive this company has been in business for so long, they are awful! I had some plumbing problems in the kitchen a few months ago, so I called Rakeman Plumbing to come out and take a look at it. I got a good feeling about the company over the phone, because the receptionist was pretty nice, but as soon as the homeless looking guy showed up at the door I started to worry. It only took about 35 minutes to get an estimate of $2200. I declined the bid and then he asked for $93 for the estimate. I asked how he could charge so much for an estimate that I was not aware of. He simply said that's how we make our money, over bid the job and collect $93. Its easier and faster than doing the work. I can do 2 of these per hour, whereas fixing this could take all day.

i called rakeman plumbing to have a kitchen sink installed. they showed up at the house 4 hours late. a man that looked like he just got out of prison came in, and looked at the job. he told me he could do the job for $1000.00. i told him that was rediculous and asked how much the hourly labor rate was since i had all the parts needed to complete the job. he said $93.00 an hour and he needed 10 hours to do the work. i told him i could do it in 1 hour, and asked him to leave. he then said "OK that will be $93.00 please." i said "for what?" he said "the estimate." i said "you never told me prior to the estimate that there was a charge, and nor did the office when i made the appointment." he said "thats how we make our money, over bid the job, and collect the $93.00." please do not use this company. in the end, i did it my self and it took 1 hour and 20 min. lesson learned.
