Rama A Thai Restaurant

I'm sorry to say, but that's all I can say about this place.

It's just: nice.

Atmosphere is great, food was delicious, service was friendly, but I think it was missing something. There really wasn't anything that made me want to come back though.

Maybe because my chair was a little wobbly, something was missing from the table, or the chardonnay when we asked for a riesling, but I only recommend that you give this place a try.

Perhaps something that I was really irritated about was trying to find parking spot in that area which kind of set off the moody review.

I thought the food was borderline pricey, but it was definitely delicious. I don't think I should've ordered the apps (Heaven rolls) because I filled up and was not able to finish my dinner.

Would I recommend coming here? Yes. Awesome atmosphere, great food and friendly service.

Would I come back to this place? No. I don't see myself being a regular here just because of the parking situation.

In the Gaslamp, near the convention center. Trendy place with great food, nice atmosphere. Reservations are a must.

The atmosphere at Rama is just great! It's perfect for couples out for a romantic dinner, or for a group. The food is good, and there's a great bar to have a drink at while you're waiting for your table.

The setting of the place looked amazing. But the service was horrible. We had a group of about 25; all of our orders were mixed up. Some of the orders did not come out until after 45 minutes of serving. Then the restaurant ran out of rice noodles and without being informed beforehand, the server brought out the dish and said "we improvised" by replacing the rice noodle with some other type of noodles. That dish tasted nasty. Spoke to the manager and owner, he said, "I took it off the bill, what else do you want me to do". The situation was poorly handled and with unprofessionalism. I would not use this service again and will not recommend it to any of my friends.

i love rama thai! i went once and just absolutely fell in love with it. The ambiance is so romantic & classy. The FOOD is awesome! This is as close to authentic as it can get! they even have spice levels up to 10 for those who really love the hot stuff! great for a date, great for friends - i would def recommend for that real thai taste!
