STAY AWAY, Our dog broke her leg, owner is a joke
Just a week ago we boarded our dogs there (as we have for many years) and were extremely disappointed when we returned to learn that our female weimaraner had a serious injury to her leg. The staff at Recess diagnosed the inury as a bite from another dog and even went as far as to say it was our other wiemaranrer that had bit her. This seemed very odd to us since our dogs never fight at home. We were suprised when our dog was still heistatnt to put any weight on her leg after several days and took her to our vet to see what was wrong. After x-rays our vet told us that our dogs leg was shattered and that she was extremely confident that the injury did not occur from a dog bite. This did not make us happy to say the least.
We called the Josh, the owner of Recess, later that day and as usual he was extremely rude and dismissive. He then explained to us that our dogs are the only ones he ever has any trouble with at either of his two locations (you can see that this guy is a genuis when it comes to customer service) and that they routinely try to escape from their kennel at night. Our female wiemaraner who got injured is very clever and extremely agile and had become adept at manipulating the kennel she was kept in. Instead of telling us what was going on over the 20 times we boarded our dogs at Recess they chose to lie to us and hide the problem by creating a special contraption for our dogs kennel used at night.
