It's now been three times that they haven't picked up our trash and once they only emptied half of the can. \So tired of complaining. Need someone new.

They are inconsistent with their service reliability. The trucks skip whole sections of subdivision if one house pick up puts out the wrong waste. Happened twice on one month. I left a message Saturday, no return call by the end of day Monday.

Apparently, this is one of those companies that really couldn't care less about their customers. Red Oak Sanitation refused to put our empty trash can back on the driveway. Instead, they always dumped the can over onto the lawn where it would, rather quickly, burn the grass (see the photos). We showed the pictures and explained the problem to Red Oak manager Ron Cowart who agreed with us, laid down some lip service and then blew us off. It actually doesn't require any more effort, on Red Oaks part, to set the can upright on the driveway than it does to dump it in the yard. So why then deliberately and repeatedly cause unsightly damage to a customers lawn? Because it isn't their lawn and they couldn't care less about their customers property. How do I know? Well, because Red Oak goes to great lengths to tell the customer exactly which way to face the cans and where to set the cans out for pickup. That self-serving action they can take the time to do. Conversely, the Red Oak recycle crew always neatly placed their can back on the driveway, so apparently the problem rests with Mr. Ron Cowart's inability to effectively manage customer issues.

The workers knocked my mailbox down. I called and talked to manager and he said nothing. They said they won't fix, I said if they won't fix, cancel my service. Their response no problem glad to lose you as a customer, I would never recommend them to anyone.

Specifically - they have a habit of not caring how the cans get put back ON the curb...rather in the street, on the sidewalk, in the middle of the yard toppled over. Also speeding through the neighborhood (children are usually waiting on the school bus at this hour) in their huge trucks. Their billing and customer service needs serious work. If you think you are signed up for "email/electronic" notifications - double, triple check...chances are you will then NOT get either electronic or paper bills. And their attitude is care LESS. Skip it and go to the countless other vendors - never had these problems with any other vendor.

Expect delays up to a week, expect them to blame you when you call to inquire, expect the office manager to be gone every time you call, expect excuses on why it had taken them months to pick up their cans when you cancel, expect the truck (when it comes) to race thru your neighborhood streets like it's the autobahn. If these are satisfactory expectations for, then by all means go for it. If they are not, then do yourself a favor and find actual service elsewhere.

I really tried to give this company a lot of grace b/c they are local and fairly new. They don't pick up on time and don't have any reasons or customer satisfaction credits when they drop the ball. I have had them for a little over a year and have had to call about 6 times. I'm done. It's a shame b/c many folks were rooting for the hometown company, but they just can't get it together, and don't even apologize. I can't continue to waste my money on poor service and attitude.

For 2 months, Red Oak did not pick up my recycle. I called them at least 7 times to try and get it picked up and they said they would but then the pick up date came and went with no pick-up. Finally cancelled my service. They said they were not going to charge me the next payment but they did. Had to put stop payment on my account to keep from further charges. BAD BUSINESS! Can't even return a call.

Garbage pickup is not reliable.. Normal p/u is on Monday and on several occasions had to leave it for p/u Tuesday or Wed. When canceling service, no one would come to p/u cans. Cust. svc would just keep saying next week and the guy is probably sick. When asking to speak to a manager cust. svc. says he is sick as well. So far we are on week 3 and now going on week 4 and the cans are still waiting for p/u. Do yourself a favor and save a headache.. Choose another company.

Cancelled my service just one day after signing up with them. Did not deliver my trash can on the day promised. When I questioned it, they became very rude and said they never promised a trash can based on the limited availability of them currently. Are you kidding me?

With the past freezing weather, I was notified that they would not pick up our garbage on our regular pick up day and would not pick up our trash for the entire week. Normally during a holiday week, they pick up our garbage on the following day. I called requesting either an additional pick up for that week or a credit on my account for services that I won't be receiving. The very rude customer service rep informed me that was not an option. I asked to leave the "owner" a message voicing my concerns. I have yet to hear back from them. I called back and asked again why they could manage to work in a different pick up day during a holiday week and the again rude rep stated that is just the way the owners were going to handle it and she ended up hanging up on me. I then emailed the owners through their website asking for a call back to discuss my concerns. I stated I would be switching my company if I did not receive any satisfaction regarding this matter. No one has contacted me. Trash is lined up along the streets of my neighborhood, blowing around in the streets thanks to these "owners" decision. I have overlooked the rude customer service reps in the past, the fact that my garbage has been picked up the following day on several occasions during a non holiday week, and having witnessed my recycling being picked up by the regular garbage truck. Changing my service. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Time after time lawn waste was not picked up. The driver would say it was not out when he went by, but had actually been out for 3 days prior. Finally had to cancel service for "lack of service and driver being too lazy to pick it up". I cancelled service over two weeks ago and my cans have been out at the road for 2.5 weeks...everyday, and have still not been picked up by red oak. I called today, and was told the driver said they were not out when he went by. They will come in 4 more days to pick up the cans. Unbelievably inept driver on Young Deer Drive route and amazing he is defended and still employed. Do not use red oak sanitation in cumming, ga.

Red Oak customer since 2007. Always on time. Careful not to let trash litter road. Always return container to original spot. Will pick up almost anything. Excellent recycling service. Trucks are clean and attractive. Competitive rates. Very satisfied.
