Been going here for years. Never had any serious issues with the staff. The Dentist and Assistant are pleasant and professional. Since I don't expect clerical staff to be overly sympathetic and don't get offended easily I think some of the negative reviews are a little rediculous.

I went in 2 1/2 weeks ago for a consultation due to severe pain on all corners of my mouth. The Dentist is exceptional and informative, but when I sat down to go over my work with the Billing woman I was floored at her lack of sympathy -- she seemed more worried about the payment then the pain I was experiencing. I was offered no pain or antibiotic for my infected molars. As the Dentist was such a kind man I chose to move forward and called for my referral appointment; 1st call: no call back. 2nd call: no call back. 3rd call I finally got a staff member who said she would make the arrangement and get back to me. A week later: no response. Mind you, I'm paying cash!! Finally I call back and the office member claims she never spoke to me and kept insisting I called the wrong Dr. Reidy in Santee!! When I asked if she had passed on my referral because I was in pain and needed to see the oral surgeon immediately, she said: "you know the info is on your breakdown, call yourself for an appointment." Is she serious?! I have never heard of a patient making their own oral surgeon appointment!! It was at this point, even in extreme pain, I chose to go to a different Dentist then to deal with such incompetence !!

I called here for emergency work because I was in severe pain, stating to the receptionist that I thought I needed a root canal. I was pleased that they told me to come down right away and I could be seen. That's when the pleasure ended. I sat for over an hour with hardly being acknowledged, taken back for x-rays and stuck in a chair. Finally someone else (I've now been passed thru 4 different people) I'm told that they don't do root canals and I can be referred to someone else. It's now almost 5pm, too late for me to go anywhere else...Oh and they can't give me anything for pain or the infection. The receptionist rolls her eyes when I asked if they were going to call to see when the next appointment was at the place she was sending me too. The dentist I will be seeing tomorrow won't even take the x-rays they did because apparently they have a reputation within the dental community. Worst experience I have ever had. Will be posting this on every review venue I can find...if you're the owner and are reading this- fire your staff and learn how to treat your patients.

By cathy - Oct 18, 2010 Following up.I spoke with front receptionist as to why she didn't follow up with my referral, she knew I needed a referral to see the surgeon, otherwise the Ins. Co.wouldn't pay. Now she's trying to blame me, use me as the excuse of their lack of follow through. She now states that I was suppose to come to the office first and sign/ decide what procedure I wanted done by the surgeon. "Even without first seeing the surgeon". I reminded her per our conversation she would forward the paper work needed to the surgeon office and I could sign it there. So guess what, she has states she has now sent the referral, and guess what? It's without my decision as she stated above she had to have, prior to sending the surgeon my referral..Awful,Awful office!I am now waiting for 2nd appt with surgeon. Lack of communication and informing patient.They just don't care!

My first impressions of Dr Reidy and his staff were very positive. Clean office, calm environment, courteous staff. That only applied for a routine checkup. My family and I both used this dentist for 2 years. We've had nothing but problems from billing errors (they increased the amount billed across successive bills and tried to claim this with insurance as well), inconsiderate receptionists, rude finance people, they even called us to confirm appts we never scheduled. My family and I have all chosen new dentists as a result.

Yes, they only took 10 minutes to clean my teeth too! Which is NOT even close to being enough. They were unorganized, unprofessional, the equipment was broken, and I was very disappointed with the overall experience.

If your looking for a dentist that will not take you the patient into consideration, that doesn't really care weather you are informed or happy. Then here is where you should go. The staff is rude and they don't even care.

I broke a tooth near the front of my mouth and the receptionist said the soonest appointment was in 5 days. Told me to bring a good book and come in next day. No compassion from receptionist. The dentist and assistant were awesome. Very kind, caring and thorough.He did the work right away and made up for my first impression.

It was a typical dentist office. The first time I went I didn't wait long however the second time we weren't seen until an hour after our appt. and no one told us why we were just sitting in the chair.

This is clinic type care - move the patient in and out as fast as possible, don't explain anything, don't return phone calls, and as for the teeth cleaning - how can you do a thorough job in 10 minutes? Yes, 10 minutes, enough time to prove they don't do much for your money. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone!
