Reliable Heating & Air sells Energy Star rated equipment and recycles several tons of metal, steel, aluminum, copper, and cardboard each week. All r-22 (Freon) is recovered and turned into an EPA reclamation facility. All new equipment we sell and install uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R410a. Our technicians are EPA certified and trained in the proper handling and disposal of the HCFC R-22 (Freon).
We have used Reliable twice for electrical service. First, we needed a dedicated 120 outlet with a 20amp breaker installed. Our electrician, Andrew, explained what was needed and gave us the best... economical solution. Andrew is an easy going, kind, and thoughtful person and I felt immediately comfortable with him. Once we agreed on the work, he promptly showed the next day at our agreed time and completed the job as asked and on budget. The second time, I asked for Andrew specifically requesting he trouble-shoot a dead kitchen microwave outlet. Andrew took the time to find the issue (two outlets with burnt/loose connections) and make sure everything surrounding the issue was fixed and safe. When so often you worry about service work being completed correctly and at a reasonable price and when you can feel helpless waiting for a service person to show, Andrew the electrician and Reliable are breaths of fresh air. I have been frustrated with the thermostat, and today Lawrence Overstreet came and took a LOT of time making sure that I understood how to use it. We were using it wrong, resulting in higher cooling bills. I am confident now that the electric bill will go down, even though we don't have an old unit. Lawrence also took the time to make sure we understood all the components of the system, plus I had never seen my compressor coils cleaned and he did a great job - I couldn't believe how dirty they were. He is an awesome young man - hope he can continue to be our technician.
Although R & A was not very reliable when our air conditioner failed earlier this summer, the technician they sent out for our annual inspection Lawrence Overstreet was superior to any technician we've had in the past! He was very professional, explained things well, and even took the time to help me with an additional problem. I would give Lawrence five stars plus!
The whole process of new heat and AC system was very simple, quick, clean and efficient. They even brought window units to keep us cool until the installation was complete. Couldn't be happier.
Replacing an air conditioner & furnace is never fun or inexpensive. We have replaced several over our 29 years of home ownership. Reliable Heating & Air did a great job. Their proposal was in depth & the price was fair. They arrived when they said they would.They had everything they needed to complete all the work. Dustin & Garrett worked efficiently and neatly. It was very hot and they got it done in a timely manner. Took the time to explain the new system. I don't want to replace another system but I would use Reliable again.

I have a service agreement with Reliable for many years. My last bi-annual visit from them was in early June. At the beginning of July I had lots of company in town. My AC unit on the 2nd floor died on Saturday morning. We immediately called Reliable. They made an appointment with us for the following THURSDAY! 5 days!!! So much for being a loyal customer. Well it is now 2:45 p.m. on Thursday and still no repair person. We have had no AC on the 2nd and 3rd floor of our home since Saturday morning. I work from home so I have had to move my entire office down to the first floor. And, sleeping at night has been a chore with company still here. I just spoke with Reliable again and they have NO ETA on when a technician will arrive. So much for being reliable. I am not a happy customer. Time to find another company who cares about my loyalty and can appropriate respond to my needs.
My wife plugged into an outlet one day and half the electrical circuit on the lower floor of our house went dead. She called Reliable. They said it would cost $89 just to roll the truck, but they offered an altenative - they would happily sell us their $100 "Peace of Mind" package, which includes a "visual" inspection. Would this would allow them to determine what the problem was – no – we found out later the visual inspection is just that – a look. How much can you discern about an electrical system from a look? Unless sparks are flying out of your outlets, nothing. That's where it got ugly - in order for them to engage in any troubleshooting whatsoever, you must pay for a "Level 1 Diagnosis." Cost: $245! Since I was able to point to the outlet where the trouble originated, this "diagnosis" took all of five minutes. Did I mention that any repairs needed after the 5-minute $245 diagnosis are extra? The technician magnanimously offered to rescind the "Peace of Mind" package and replace the outlet at no charge - oh thank you, kind sir! We thought that we might have some additional wiring issues that might be determined via the "Peace of Mind" package, but we certainly couldn't afford to find out once we discovered that it would cost $245+ just to address the issue we already knew of. The only thing you can "rely" upon with Reliable is that you're gonna get fleeced. Caveat emptor.
Ok I called to see about service. My AC was out. The person on the phone said "We have a $99 service fee. How would you like to take care of that?" She did not tell me when someone was available or even ask what the problem was. I then said "Wait, you are ready to crawl into my wallet, without even telling me when someone is available? I need to know because I may have to call another place. You seem more concerned about getting money than setting up the appointment. She then said, "Ok sir, we can have someone come out on Monday." It was Monday, she was talking about a week. It was 94 degrees that day and was going to be 95 the next day. I then said "No thanks. I need to call someone else anyway." I did, They came out on Tuesday and did NOT ask me for money until they completed the work.
Cain and Anthony came over the same day that I called for an appointment. They installed a vanity with top and faucet, pvc piping under a bathroom sink, along with a new faucet in the kitchen. The faucet in the kitchen required lots of "extras" due to the older pipes and valves underneath the sink. These guys went the extra mile to make sure everything was in working order!
Justin Shepard and his partner did our duct cleaning. very professional and thorough... Reliable has replaced one of our systems and we have used them for other services also. Unfortunately, Justin's truck was not equipped with a camera to look through the duct system when the work was completed. Over all very satisfied.

They worked on my A/C unit to the tune of $500, it failed within a week, and they will not dispatch someone. Told me I was on a wait list, they could not prioritize as an emergency, even though they did the work. Told me they only had so many people and too many calls and it would be five days??? In 95+ degree temps??? VERY POOR!!!
Lawrence was extremely nice and knowledgeable, and did a great job yesterday. Service was done quickly, and I couldn't be happier. Good job Lawrence!
