All r-22 (Freon) is recovered and turned into an EPA reclamation facility. All new equipment we sell and install uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R410a. One of the worst companies I have ever worked with. The customer service and management are awful. They damaged two floors of our house with their (admitted) negligence and then took three months of dragging feet to repair the damages. After this our air conditioning went out and they said "there is no promise anyone will be out to fix the issue'. This is despite having a ten year contract and being up to date on our 'maintenance contract'. Atlanta Air Care has far better reviews and I am sure quite better customer service. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for service.

UPDATE: Reliable stood by their commitment to customer service and refunded my money. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's how you respond to them that makes a company. Thanks Reliable! -------------- I'm very disappointed with the plumbing department. I had a new water heater installed 2 years ago with Reliable with the expectation that it would last me a good 8-10 years. But just 2 years later, it failed. They told me they'd order the part and it'd be ready in 12-24 hours. The next day I heard nothing from them so decided to call. I was told the part didn't come in yet and I'd have to wait until Monday to have it fixed. Monday comes and I expect a call. Nothing. So I had to call them again to find out what's going on. No one could help me to determine where the part is or when it'd be installed. I was redirected to a manager where I left a message with my dissatisfaction. No response. The next day I called again and was told I'd receive a call from the plumbing manager. He did call me back and told me they'd be out that day, but they'd take the part off an existing heater. They did come out that evening and make the fix. However, they have the audacity to ask me for $350 for the fix. The water heater was $800 and that was 2 years ago and now I owe $350 for a fix that should never have happened and when did happen did so very inefficiently and without proper communication.
Hello, I researched your concern and I agree with you that a part only two years old should not incur a charge when it fails. We do not make the water heaters or the write the parts warranty for these units, but I feel all products should last longer than one year. I just bought a new washer and dryer from GE and was surprised these units only had a one year parts and labor warranty. Lowes wanted to sell me an extended warranty, but last time I bought one from the orange big box store, they would not honor the warranty after only three years and I incurred a $500 repair bill on a dishwasher. In the appliance business, one year seems to be the norm, but I just do not like that answer. We don't have new water heaters fail very often, but after looking into your issue, I have changed our policy to 6 years parts and labor on all standard water heaters we sell and install. I have the accounting department refunding all of your money and your warranty will be changed in the computer to six years full warranty as well as every other customer who has purchased a water heater in the past and the future. Thank you for bringing this to my attention allowing me to make this change and having a customer go away mad. I will provide this warranty on my own regardless of what the manufacturer provides. They did an excellent job from beginning to end. They were very knowledgeable and explained the options for conditioning the air at my house. The quality of the installation is superb. I have heard of this company for years but never tried them. Very good customer service from end to end. Ted was our in house specialist, he made our family feel at easy. Helping us understand our needs, needing not only a new HVAC system but a water heater...Thankful noticed we had a serious problem. Tony installed our WH, he was very professional and clearly stated what he would be installing. The heat pump was installed today by Jason and Josh...I enjoyed their interaction with me and they both took the time to listen to my concerns and answered with great passion. They clearly enjoy working for this company and this industry. Thank you all for making this experience, though costly, a pleasure.

I had my heat/ac system replaced by this company today and cannot recommend them highly enough. From the initial call and quote (Ted Burge) to the on time and orofessional installation (Johnnie Henson and Eric Schoener), I was very pleased.
This company replaced two HVAC units in my house within two years, at a total cost of $10K. The second one turned out to be a complete disaster. After having an incorrect drain installed, it did extensive water damage to my home, which "Reliable" only agreed to repair after I posted an honest negative online review here. The repair process took about two months, during which my home office was useless, and half of my home could not be occupied by pets or children. After all was said and done, a week later, the system died completely, and Reliable now is extremely surly to us on the phone, saying they cannot guarantee anyone will ever come to our house to fix it. So much for our "10 year Warranty". Apparently, asking someone who trashed your house to fix the damage, and asking a supposedly honest company to honor a warranty which I paid for, gets us blacklisted. I am calling the BBB and going with another company at this time. I am disgusted with these people.
It very much upsets me we went from this review you wrote last year to this new one.
I had a complete heat/AC system installed in my home. The person who came to do the quote was very knowledgeable and professional. He answered all of my questions and gave me a written quote the same day. I had to wait a few days for the installation, but when they came out they did the whole thing in less than a day. The price was competitive and I got a good deal on financing. I did have a malfunctioning pump, which switched my heat off on Christmas eve. I was able to get my unit working again, but there was a technician willing to come to my home Christmas morning to take care of this warranty issue. I am glad he didn't have to come out, but he did show up bright and early the next morning and took care of the warranty issue at no cost. I am very happy with the product and level of service I received from this business, and I will definitely call them when it is time to replace the other units in my house.
I am not sure who dropped the ball on getting our insurance company out to do the needed repairs but I will find out and have them call today. I do apologize the drain backed up and leaked. It sounds like it worked for a couple of years and then clogged. This is why we have insurance and someone will be back with you right away.
