Reliable Heating & Air sells Energy Star rated equipment and recycles several tons of metal, steel, aluminum, copper, and cardboard each week. All r-22 (Freon) is recovered and turned into an EPA reclamation facility. All new equipment we sell and install uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R410a. Our technicians are EPA certified and trained in the proper handling and disposal of the HCFC R-22 (Freon).
Had a complete HVAC removed and new Trane and the old house electric panel removed and new one installed. Salesmen Ted Burge did a good job explaining what we needed after I told him what I was... needing. A three day installation was agreed on. The first day was tear out HVAC. This was all day and some to get done. Chuck K. and Russell D. worked very hard. Day two started very early installing new HVAC, went well. Charlie Austin arrived to bring parts and check on work. Things were not going as fast as thought so chuck called to see it help could come on next day, this was set up. The third we had Jason A. and Josh to help with the installation. The Electrician Travis and his helper showed up to change out the panel, this went fast, all hand were working hard. Charlie came again with parts and checking on workers. Early evening we had heat, I called my wife to come home. We had other people bring parts and removing parts, at one point we had five Reliable trucks in the yard. Brian & Shaw installed a new AC unit in my house. They were early and finished before I thought they would. My house was cool in about two hours. Couldn't be happier!
2nd unit installed in spring just experienced a leak in the attic and water damage is visible in the drywall ceiling. I placed an emergency call and a technician arrived in less than 30 minutes and fixed the leak. This was last Friday. It is the following Wednesday and Micky the handy-man just left after repairing the ceilings that were damaged. They look perfect! Reliable has installed 2 new systems for me over the years and my recent emergency makes me very glad they are my HVAC go to team!
I called because of water in my basement near my furnace/AC unit. After 4 visits and more than $200 they sent a plumber. The plumber quoted me a price on the phone, then gave a different number on the printed quote. I did not notice (my fault), but now I am out $350. No apology from Reliable. The worst thing they did was charge my credit card without calling me. I spoke with their billing department prior to work being scheduled and was assured that nothing would be charged without my approval. They charged over $2000 on my card without authorization, and without giving me the opportunity to inspect their work. Bushleauge! Beware!
I think the best answer to your review is to simply post the emails you sent and the responses sent to you. Our plumbing manager offered to refund the $350 that you mentioned you did not read on the proposal, but you hung up on him before you gave an answer. I do appreciate you giving us 3 stars in "quality of work" but apologize you were not pleased about losing the ability to "fight" us over the charge.
Our plumbing managers response: I am very sorry about the confusion on the payment for the work we did at your rental home in Doraville, GA. If you wish us to credit the money back to your credit card we will be happy to do that. I made the assumption that it was ok to charge the credit card once you gave me permission to do the work. I assure you that we would not have charged your card for more money you had approved. Your response back to our manager: I do not want to change the payment method. I wanted the ability to judge the quality of work before paying for it. When I did not receive a phone call, I lost the ability to fight the over charge. I was simply charged and there is nothing I can do. You told me it would be $2200 and I asked you directly if that $350 would come out of it. You can deny it all you want, but we discussed it on the phone, and I feel cheated. I will absolutely be leaving reviews of my experience on every social media outlet I can find.
Plumbing manager’s response:As for the quality of work, You have a one year warranty on the repairs we made and we will honor it. As for our conversations we do have differences. Before I sent you the proposal I review what was in it with you. I told you that the cost would be $2550 and that if you accepted the proposal with in the next 30 days that we would take the cost of the camera off. You said at that time that you did not have $2200. That you were expecting a check from your boss and that you would call when you had the money. You requested that I not discuss this with your renter. I did not discuss anything with your renter. You call me the following week and told me to go forward with the $2200 job. I am very sorry for any misunderstanding. I try to avoid these types of issues by putting agreements in writing.
Our service call for AC repair was handled very professionally from the customer service person to one follow up call from schedule question. Then Technician Henry Lawrence. He literally diagnosed the problem (bad capacitor) and fixed in less than 10 minutes. He too was very professional and confident in speech and action. I will definitely use them again. I paid a reasonable price and received an email receipt within minutes
Reliable Heating & Air came out today to fix an electrical issue at my house. The technician, Allen Patrick, called me about 30 minutes prior to arriving at my home to let me know that he was on his way. When he arrived, he quickly assessed the problem, explained my options and the cost of the service, and promptly fixed the issue. He was friendly and professional and was able to resolve my issue quickly. Allen provided outstanding customer service and I really appreciate that. Reliable Heating & Air is a company that I will definitely use again and highly recommend to others.
New installation ductwork initially installed incorrectly. System failed within 2 months, but company was honest and serviced everything. Had to wait nearly 3 weeks to get new coil installed. But, Gus (supervisor) and Brett were great and made sure everything was fixed correctly.

Our technician, Henry Lawrence, was very professional and kind when in our home. He answered all my questions without hesitation and I am confident in the work he performed. Thank you Henry for battling the 90 degree heat in our crawl space to ensure my family's comfort!
We had an AC unit fail on us before the 4th of July weekend & knew that repairing/replacing was going to be a bit of a headache. We called for multiple quotes & settled on Reliable, who'd previously done great work replacing our hot water heater. My wife & I each had attempted to connect with the sales rep Chris on several occasions over a 3 day time frame & found him impossible to get on the phone. We had to call the main office to insure we were even on the calendar since we'd be told they'd call the day before to confirm which they didn't. We'd also gotten two different windows on when the installers were going to be there. Barring that, the installers who eventually did come out did a great job getting the new AC & furnace in & up & running in about 4 hours or so, even saving us $400 from a new line we thought was going to have to be run on the outside of the house by using our existing lines & insulating them so that they'd run more quietly. But the lack of communication from the office & the sales guy confirming our details are what's keeping me from giving them all 5 stars. They'd used to send an email the day before confirming details of the appointment with a picture of the tech that was coming to your house & if they no longer do that, they need to go back to that.
I apologize the level of commination fell short. I am not sure why the email was not sent as the system is in place to send a picture of the tech and the arrival time and it is still part of our normal practice and customers love it. Chris’s wife has been in and out of the hospital with cancer and I can only assume this affected his returning your call, as he is normally one to call and stay in touch with all his customers. I’m writing on behalf our my church; we’ve used RELIABLE PLUMBING several times. 1st EXPERIENCE: We had a full house for a talent show, and our main plumbing drain clogged. Within a few minutes after my call, I received an email confirming the call with a photo of plumber Mike McCampbell. He called a few minutes later and showed up within an hour of my initial call. He quickly cleared the drain. Mike saved the day! We used Reliable a few more times for plumbing issues and continued being impressed with their uncommon level of quality work, fair prices, and extraordinary customer service. I called RELIABLE again to help solve a drain that becomes blocked 2-3 times each year. John Crum called and suggested “scoping” the line. He had equipment that clearly showed a hidden problem with the plumbing system. He provided a fair price to cut up a concrete floor and replace defective drainpipes. This was a HUGE job, and I feared they could not complete it before the weekend when we were holding a big event. John Crum promised they would complete it before the end of Friday. They showed up EARLY the next morning, and worked until 9 PM to complete the work. It’s uncommon for a big business to function like a small business. Usually I prefer working with a small business since I work directly with the owner. I am impressed I can rely on your commitments. John worked as though he was “the owner”.

excellent. Replacing a full heating and cooling system isn't ideal but Reliable provided great service in all areas. The initial check of my current system was done well by Evan. He provided simple explanations on what the issues were and what could be done. The consultation from Mick was complete and to the point. I explained to Evan that I needed to make a appointment at Noon an he passed that along to Mick and Mick arrived at 8am sharp to get the process going. He explained all of my options including financing. Lastly Jason and his team arrived first thing on the morning of the appointment ready to go. Full explanation of what they were going to do and they got to work. I hardly noticed they were here. Overall I am very pleased with every element of what Reliable did and I would recommend them as a business to use for your home heating and cooling services.
