I wish I could say don't go, I want to have it to myself, but I know that it won't work. Relish is the place that I take out of towners that I want to share good souther food with. It is where I take the wife on a date, it is a place to take the girls after church. Good food all the time and the staff is very pleasant. I also like that the wine offering is sensible and clearly priced for those of us who do not know better.

We recently went there to celebrate my husband's birthday. The ambiance was really nice and we had high hopes for a nice meal. The waiter was friendly and all started out well. We had ordered their acclaimed pimento cheese fritters only to have our meal arrive first. The couple next to us was served 2 different meals, neither of which were for their table. When our waiter finally came back to check on us, we mentioned that we never got the fritters and said we'd still like them....they never came. Another couple had to wait a good 15 minutes before they got their bill and we ended up having to do the same. The food was pretty good, though my husband much prefers the Hanger Steak at Smokejack than here. It's really too bad that such a cute place with so much potential has such terrible service. The server was so scatterbrained and it wasn't even busy. I'm sad to say we won't be back.

I have a family of 2 adults and 3 boys( 10, 7 and 2 1/2). We arrived around 6:00pm on a Saturday night. The menu has a good variety of foods. For appetizers we order crab hush puppies. They were very yummy. 5 are served in an order. The sauce they are served with is a little spicey. My boys had to wipe there's off as it was a little too spicey for them. My boys ordere a cheeseburger with a side of cheesy grits, catfish fingers and grilled cheese with a side of sweet potato fries. I order the scallop special (YUM). My boys all liked their entrees. The cheesy grits had the consistency of mashed potatoes. They tasted good, but they were not traditional grits. They sweet potato fries were yummy. The scallops were served with asparagus, red skin potato salad and red bell peppers stuffed with corn, celery , shrimp and something else yummy. The special was definetly the best dish I sampled. We did save room for dessert as I was curious for the KrispyKreme bread pudding. We ordered 2 special cheesecakes and 1 bread pudding. The cheesecake dessert was p'nutbutter cheesecake dipped in chocolate and served with warm pnutbutter/caramel dipping sauce on a popsicle stick. Each serving had 5 popsicle sized pieces. So one order would have been plenty for the table. I wish the server would have told us. I also ordered a Peach Mojito and it was delicious. Would definetly go again. Our bill before tip came to $91.00 (only 1 cocktail) so it's not cheap, but it is ggood.

Based on the advice of the first post we ventured out to Relish one Sunday, much to our dismay the place basically sucked from the start. Terrible service, food served cold... with no syrup for pancakes, no butter for biscuits, no cream or sugar for coffee, repeated requests for these items, coffee got cold before the cream and sugar arrived, hideous omelettes! Horrible experience! I am warning everyone I know off this place. The manager is very rude and did not seem to care about our lack of service or the quality of food. Needless to say I won't be back!

My wife and I went about 2-3 weeks back around 8pm at night. We chose to sit outside - perfect evening/weather... and perfect place to enjoy it! We ordered an appetizer of homemade potato chips w/ blue cheese crumble, slightly melted. We finished the entire plate! The entres were just as good. Tasty american food. Reasonable prices for the quality. Service was excellent. Everyone was very knowledgeable about the food. (The bartender was a graduate of a culinary institute). Anyway... this is what should have existed at that location a long, LONG time ago. Congrats! Mike & Jenn
