Remedy Painting

I have looked for several years for a painter willing to refinish the varnished wooden doors and windows in our breakfast area. No one was willing to try to refinish rather than just paint over the old finish. Ed gave us a good price and performed professional work. I was especially impressed with how much time Ed and Brian spent prepping the area prior to the actual staining and varnishing and how closely he was able to match the finish in the rest of our kitchen area. Our rooms were kept clean and tidy and they left the project every night in great shape. This was the best experience I have had with a painting project. I have already scheduled additional work with Remedy Painting.

Ed Okenica is fabulous! He painted my great room 10 years ago. The room still looks freshly painted. Every room he has ever painted (worked with him 2-3 times) looks fabulous! (still) His secret is the PREP. Wall doubles in vaue just after the PREP. Painting is the icing on the cake! Worth every dime..trust me. Ellen Garlin

I contacted Ed at Remedy Painting based on other Kudzu reviews. I wasn't sure whether our house needed to be painted yet and told him I needed someone to come out and do a thorough inspection and make recommendations. From that first phone call, I pretty much knew we would end up working together. When Ed came to our home to inspect the exterior, he showed me concerns that I never would have been aware of. I asked him to prepare an estimate and he came up with a very fair price. I can't begin to adequately express how delighted my wife and I are with the job Ed and Brian did. They went far above and beyond what we expected and were here every day doing all the work themselves. They are truly professional craftsmen and, in the process, they truly earned our trust and became our friends. Unlike most companies, they overdelivered on their promises. For example, they put two coats of stain on our deck when we would have been very happy with one. They put two coats of paint of the steel poles that support our deck and the large beam under the deck. We never expected them to even touch those items. They even installed new blinds on our garage windows and replaced our outside floodlights, all at no cost. I spent 39 years in the insurance business all over the country and have known and worked with many painting contractors. I can honestly say that Remedy is head and shoulders above anyone else I have known in the painting business.

Ed and his associate did an outstanding job in removing wallpaper and painting our home office. The original paint was very dark and Ed helped me choose a lighter color scheme. They transformed the office in only two days and were very professional, using very high quality materials and cleaning up perfectly when the job was completed. Remedy Painting is first rate!
