Resurgens Douglasville

I took my son to Resurgens Orthopaedics when he was 13 years old and again when he was 16 years old about his back. They did x-rays and told me he needed to do some exercises at home or he could have curvature of the spine as an adult. Thet told me to give him motrin for pain.

He was diagnosed as a 19 year old with Ankylosing spondylitis. This is a crippling autoimmune disease of the spine.
He was correctly diagnosed by a rheumatologist at Piedmont Hospital. Thank you, Dr. Singh!

It seems the practice is all about getting your money. After waiting an hour to an hour and a half after your scheduled appointment, you get to talk to the Doctor about 3 minutes. I happened to visit on one of the doctor's birthdays, and he was fairly innatentative to my complaints of lower back pain. He was apparently more concerned with the birthday festivities and scheduling apponintments with their internal "so called therapy center" since I had fairly good insurance coverage. Nothing helpful in the area of medication for easing the pain. Follow up calls to his personal assistant received no responces.
Subsequent visits with Dr Kamath and minor back surgery to sever nerves to eliminate back pain was excruciating as he administered NO sedation or pain meds during the procedure, even though an IV had been inserted and I had signed a consent for this. By the way, the procedure did not work; Total waste of time and money.
I highly recommend a place like Emory Spine Center with someone that seems to care more about your health and well being, than your insurance coverage.

Their office called day before appointment to let me know Dr. Mortazavi can't see me. I waited a month for this appointment. (How cruel). After 1 hour and 45 minutes I am walking out. I have been in the little room and I am in pain from sitting on the table waiting to see Susie the P.A. But I can make an appt to do this and that and make another appt in another month to see Susie again. I leave with NO prescription for anything. And it takes 5 calls to get something because they are. . . inept? I am not impressed. Am I a dollar figure, and do they treat every patient as inconsiderately as they did me. Ethics? Compassion? I did not get that there. I did not see any doctor. And they refused to talk to me about my MRI. Oh, unless, I make another appt. and endure that same routine.
