this place is horrible. First appt I had I waited over a month to see a doctor. 2 weeks of which I was hobbling around on crutches. After finally seeing the doctor I could walk , but not run and he put me in a boot. I probably should have worn it a month before to actually heal properly . after the month of waiting for the appointment I had the pleasure of sitting in the waiting room for well over an hour. The doctor finally saw me for a torn calf muscle (that I already had an ultrasound and MRI for) and ordered an xray. not sure why. 2nd appointment was rather uneventful, thankfully a much shorter wait time. I had to make my next appt 6 weeks out. I had a pop up business conference and had to call to reschedule, another 5 weeks to get an appointment. I finally show up for my appointment, wondering why my calf still hurts in November , from an injury in march and upon arrival im told the dr is running 40 minutes behind. So kind of them to tell me that after I drive there, instead of picking up the phone to let me know before I have to sit in the office for an hour...again. So I say I'll reschedule. Surprise ! next available appointment is 6 weeks out.... this place is a joke. My leg is probably permanently damaged from the complete lack of patient care. throw in terrible customer service and it makes me wonder why anyone goes there.

This practice brags about being the largets in the state, and I'm sure it is. Patients are nothing more than a number (and an invoice). This is like a cattle processing plant. Long waits, rude staff, poor billing practices, Resurgeons has it all. Look elsewhere, because here you will get terrible service and a low level of care.

When I needed a second opinion regarding an orthopaedic surgery recommendation, I checked online and with 2 medical professionals for which doctor/practice would be a good choice. I read rave reviews on Resurgens online and it was the first choice suggested by both of med professionals. However, I have been VERY disappointed with the customer service provided by the main office. Each time I have called with questions, I have been given information that has turned out to be incorrect or only "partially" correct...including how to go about getting a second opinion from one of their doctors, about hours various locations were open, about the staff member I should be talking to about my situation, and so on. In the end, I did finally manage to get my records to one of their offices. Last week, a message was left for me to call and set up an appointment. At the time, I breathed a sigh of relief that I was through with the other problems with the office. HOWEVER, after several days and leaving multiple messages, I have yet to hear back from the person who called to schedule me. The front office is a direct reflection of the organization and service provided by a medical practice. Unfortunately, the reflection I have been provided for Resurgens isn't one that inspires confidence in the practice or the medical professionals who work there. Its frustrating that I have to get my medical records again and restart the process with some other doctor!

Whoa! I wonder what IS with the negative reviews? That was NOT my experience at all. I have rarely had long waits (yes, once when we had ‘snowmageddon' but hey, who didn't have to play catch up THAT week?). Dr. Hui was great with both surgeries I had with him in 12/09 and 1/11: tiny scars, quick in an out of the surgery—No, I do NOT like to stay there long, thankyouverymuch. The most recent one was having my right ACL replaced. Dr. Hui did it perfectly well. His PA Dan is great: Dan explained everything so thoroughly and went out of his way to get details and make me feel very educated about it all. The other staff is very friendly: chatty, welcoming, warm--and in fact I am taking my daughter there for a consult in just a couple of weeks. I'd HIGHLY recommend everyone there I've ever come in contact with. All STAR from me for sure - .*****

Went for a 10:30 appointment on 10/22/2010 at 11:30 up and left. I was told by the MA well we are just busy. No you over booked appointments your time is no more valuable then mine. If you've got a couple of hours to spare you will be fine.

I am so fed up with Resurgens. They were supposed to schedule testing LAST WEEK and STILL haven't. Then once scheduled, Insurance takes another week to to a pre-cert. This was supposed to be taken care of LAST WEEK! I went through the same thing in another Resurgens office. Took 8 weeks to get a wheelchair! That should have taken DAYS. Follow up: GETS EVEN BETTER!!!! Went to my MRI appointment as told by Resurgens and the MRI clinic didn't even have me on the calendar that day!!!!!! GGGGRRRRRRRRR

I went to Resurgens with neck pain.I was told I needed an MRI and a spinal injection. My insurance information was taken weeks prior to my procedures. I went for the procedures and paid what I was told was my portion. Months later I was told I owed over a thousand dollars more. Twice I received a phone call the day before an appointment notifying me that I owed more money. They wanted me to be aware so there wasn't a "surprise" at checkout. Apparently this happens frequently and patients understandably are upset at time of check out. To make matters worse I was always left waiting and did not receive any relief from my pain. This is the worst experience I have ever had from a DR's office.

I was referred to Dr.Bircoll @ Resurgeons by a close friend and he performed knee surgery on my son for 5 hours @ Dekalb Medical and did an excellent job. I would recommend him to any of my friends and family, and his surgical coordinator Mary is very professional and responded to all of my calls in a timely manner.Mary provided us with excellent service and care.

During a recent visit for some knee and wrist pain. the Dr. recommended a series of x-rays and also had me leaving the office equipped with a knee and wrist brace. Prior to accepting the knee and wrist brace, I inquired if my insurance would cover the costs. They assured me they would. Well they did not and I was stuck with a $419 tab for two braces. I also had to follow up several times to clarify why the series of X-rays were not being covered by my insurance carrier. I found this especially odd due to the fact that they were a provider of my HMO. It seems there billing codes were improperly entered causing me the inconvenience of having to follow up numerous times to resolve the discrepancy. Overall, I would say mediocre service but misleading information regarding the coverage of the braces compounded by the inefficient billing I would recommend going elsewhere.

I had an appointment at 3:00 in which they told me to arrive 30 minutes early. They then told me, around 3:15, the doctor was running about 15 minutes late which I was willing to wait for that 15 minutes - THEN - at about 3:30 they told me the doctor had about 5 patients in front of me and would be running even later! This is rediculous! I asked for a refund and left!

I have to totally agree with all of the negative reviews. You will be waiting forever to see your Dr. I have had surgery from a Dr. who not only didn't get the job done but had NO COMPASSION while doing it. I was left in severe pain for SEVERAL weeks. If you value your time and your body parts, do yourself a favor and do what one of the other patients did plus myself....go to Emory! The only care I see with this place is they care about making money at your expense.

I took my Mom to the Resurgeons Orthopedics location in Snellville yesterday. They were all very nice and professional from the time I made the appt until the time we left. Courtney, Diane and Dr. Koch were all super nice and my Mom and I were were both satisfied with the service, treatment and diagnosis she received.

I was a patient with Resurgeons and have been left waiting for up to 2 hours for my appointment. Was once put into the exam room where I sat for 1 hour only to find out the doctor wasn't even there and the nurse said "Oh, you shouldn't have even been put in there" duh, you think? Save your money! PLEASE, go somewhere else! This is the worst run doctor's office I have ever encountered from the front desk to the nurses, who don't care, to the doctor with his arrogance.

After 5 Epidural treatments over 6 months and paying several thousand dollars (over and above what my insurance would cover) no results went to Emory and finally was provided quality treatment. Stay away from these crooks at all costs
