Consigners beware!!, 1/04/2012

I love clothing so needless to say, when it came time to clean out my closet I went to Revolver. What a HUGE mistake!! I had a J Crew Collection coat that I paid over $800 for with no wear and the... owner sold it for $64 because she had no idea what J Crew Collection was. (Does she not know how to use the Internet??) I was shocked when I went in for my check. The manager (who I loved and is no longer there because the owner is ridiculous) passed the message on to the owner that I was upset and to contact me....she never did. I gave the shop another chance and took more items in. You would think I would learn! When I went in for my check and saw the prices on my items I was sick! Then the person working there told me they had fired the person who did the pricing because she did a terrible job! Wow....so guess who gets screwed??? The consigners! And did the owner ever try to make things right? NO....unprofessional and unethical!! I have a lot of expensive clothing and it amazes me that people that own & work in these shops don't know much about clothing except the cheap mall brands. Also, when I have dropped off items I have had to make an appointment in advance (which I make on time) and then my clothes sit in a back room for 6 to 8 weeks because they don't have time to get to it (or so I am told). I have often wondered if it sat in the back so the owner and her friends could go through it and pay yard sale prices for my name brand clothing (ie. the J Crew Collection coat). Con
