My doggie recently relocated to RNR from another daycare facility in the vicinity. The customer service is MUCH better. The "playcare" service is far superior as well. He gets so excited when we drive into the parking lot in the morning. And he comes out in the afternoons bouncy and happy. This was not always the case at his old facility, which is why I moved him. I'm completely satisfied with the switch. RNR is great.

My year old boys have been playing on the "big dog" side since they were 6 months old. I recommend it to anyone that has young dogs or high energy dogs (like my border collie mixes). They come home TIRED and they're also less nutty and aggressive with each other when they're at home. Indy is glad that Rowdy has other doggies to play with (since he's usually the object of Rowdy's unending supply of energy) and Indy gets to just sit back and watch and chase bee shadows with Dash. The staff obviously love the pups too, and I really enjoy watching them on the webcam from my desk at work. It lets me see that they're having a good time and I never worry about them. Thanks Rex and Roxy's!

I visited Rex & Roxy's last week. I have two smaller dogs (JRT mixes) that I need to board later this month. I got excited about the online reviews, and from what I saw on the website and info I received when I spoke to Stephanie, I decided to visit and take a tour of the small dog facility. RNR was the first facility I visited. I thought it was OK, but not exactly what I had expected. The young lady that showed me around was very nice and one customer waiting for her pup gave it rave reviews. So, although it wasn't as much as I had expected, I was willing to give it a try. Then I decided to visit Petsmart and Wag-A-Lot. After visiting all 3, my concerns were confirmed and Wag-A-Lot showed me how much better RNR could be and how much more Petsmart could offer. I think RNR might be good for daycare, but not for extended stays. I'm VERY picky, especially when it comes to my pups. My dogs will be at Wag-A-Lot next week.

We have been bringing our dogs to RnR for over two years now and could not be happier. The staff is incredibly friendly, professional and super knowledgeable. These are amazing people who really care about dogs, and have been in the business for a long time and as a result create a super safe environment for the dogs. We love Rex and Roxys!!!!

I felt compelled to write after reading the "HUSH" review. I have been taking my dog to Rex and Roxy's since he was a puppy (almost two years) and I have not had even one negative experience. In fact, the staff there has proven to be amazingly friendly and enthusiastic on a daily basis. They have taken the time to get to know my dog, who does not take easily to strangers, and make him feel comfortable and confident to the point that he greets them affectionately every time I take him. They have accomodated me with special requests on a number of occassions. Most importantly, I feel like my dog is safe and supervised on every visit. They are always able to give me a report on his day if I ask, and anyone who has looked at the dog blog knows that the staff knows the dogs well and monitors their daily routines. And as for the activity level, my dog comes home and sleeps like a baby every time he spends a day at R&R's, so they must be doing something right! Highly recommended and I can't imagine what my dog would say if I tried to take him somewhere else.

Is this Wrigley's dad? Thanks! That's a really nice review! We appreciate it so much. We do not advertise much - so it's very important that our current clients are very satisfied so they will not only keep coming back, but tell their friends about us. We appreciate it!
Our dogs have been going to RnR for a few years now and we absolutely love this place and so do they. We tell everyone we meet about RnR because it is by far the best doggie daycare out there. The staff is super professional and friendly. If I could, I'd buy stock in RnR-that's how much I believe in their business.

uh.. thanks for this review - but we don't do grooming other than baths and believe me if you saw my hair, you would not want me to do yours... but thanks for the nice remarks.. we'll take it! Bring Fluff Muffin in for some daycare! But just for those of you reading.. we don't do grooming - and we don't have bows...(We could recommend some great grooming shops though). We do have departure baths for our clients for 10 bucks though! :)
I spent my day going to all of the different doggie daycare/boarding facilities in the Atlanta/Decatur areas. I thought Rex and Roxy's would be good because of the petite area that is totally separate from big dog land (my dogs are small fries). Now, I will tell you that I am writing this review without my dogs ever having stayed there, but after today, they will certainly not be. When I went to the petites building, the woman was very friendly and showed me around the facility. I began to wonder where the daycare dogs were because it was so quiet in there you could hear a pin drop. Then, we got to the very back of the building where there is one of those large pull up windowed garage door things so that the sunlight nicely flows in- there were the dogs. The door was closed though, you'd think it'd be open so that the dogs could come in and out of the outdoors. I was glad to see that there was a staff member in there who was "supervising." Upon closer inspection however, I saw that he was talking on the cordless phone. When the dogs (none of whom were playing- they were all quiet and laying on the floor, sleeping, about 30 or so of them)saw me at the window, they started barking as you would expect. The man on the phone yelled...and I do mean yelled,"HUSH!!!!!" (since he was on a call, and all.) I was floored. Isn't this a place where people PAY GOOD MONEY for their dog to interact and play and be treated nicely? There was no playing and good times going on here.

Thank you for coming to tour our facility.
I wish that when you had the issue that you had contacted a manager so we could have spoken with you, but since you chose not to, I will reply here.
I must admit, without sounding too defensive - I am a little annoyed that you are giving such a loathing review without even trying us. Isn't that kind of like going to the movies and watching the trailer and telling everyone in the world that the movie "stunk" without even seeing it? And only 2 stars? Seriously? Is that a star per minute that you were inside our facility?
Then I looked around at your other reviews and noticed you had a similar review of Wag-A-Lot. You must have been in there longer because they got 3 stars. It's amazing that you can be so educated on dog daycare without even trying either facility. You "pre-judged" both of us. We are both leaders in the industry - So I do not respect your review. But you gave your Plastic Surgeon high marks! You actually used his services. Kudos.
The actual only legitimate complaint on this review is that an employee was on their cell phone. I have addressed this with that employee and he is now on suspension for it.
Our facility is clean, safe and the dogs have a great time. Our staff cares for these dogs like they are their own. "Hush" - this is what I tell my 5 year old niece when she's screaming at a restaurant, so I don't consider it profanity, however it will be addressed.
We know all of our dogs by name, even those who don't come very often. We also know who has special needs, medical issues, or needs breaks because they're elderly, have bad hips, etc. If you would like to speak with a manager or the owner further about this issue or any other issues you have please feel free to give us a call.
I am sorry your dogs will not be coming to our facility
My dog has been going for 5 years now. He loves going over there. I can't even say "doggie day care" unless I'm ready to put him in the car because he knows what it means. He's a little guy and he plays in a separate area for the smaller ones. The staff is caring and responsible and so is the owner. I've never had a problem.

I have been taking my dog Jake to Rex and Roxys for a couple of months now and I he loves it! The staff is great and obviously cares a great deal for the animals there. Prices are very resonable if you buy the membership (doggie day care). I watch the web cams often at work (I am a little obsessed with my dog!) and I see folks cleaning up all the time so I know the facility is clean. Doggy comes home stinky sometimes, but same can be said for the dogpark, hiking and after mountain biking. They are DOGS after all! thanks Rex and Roxys we love you!! Scott and Jake

I love Rex and Roxy's. I am perturbed by the commenter that was negative about R and R. This person obviously is not looking for a doggie daycare, more like those pet hotels where the dog is away from other dogs with a couch and a tv. True Doggie Daycare/Boarding is socialization for dogs, play for dogs and if you do not request a bath; the dogs will smell. I was going to another facility (not going to mention names), since 2004, and all of a sudden in 2007; I started receiving report cards on my dogs, and the staff could never tell me what the problem was, etc. Then, the staff would change thier minds each week on if my boys were good or not. R and R will be honest about your dogs, and their staff is polite and caring. At the other facility, some of the people who worked there would not even crack a smile, and I am going to let you watch over my dogs? Also, at the other facility, there is no way for me to reach a manager or the owner to discuss my problems with the facility. They leave no contact information, and I left a message for one of the owners, and I never received a call back. At R and R, you can either talk to Stephanie, the manager or Julie, the owner at all times. R and R obviously has a good reputation, willing to allow customers to contact them with needs, requests or concerns. Thanks for making my boys, happy, tired boys again.

I am new to GA. I have been looking around for a place to board my dog. (I have looked at 4 places in person so far.) The reviews for R&R looked great, and the website looked professional. I took my dog to the day care service for one day. Unfortunately, I live 40 minutes away from R&R and because you can only tour the facility from 3-5, I had to drop off my pup before taking the “grand tour”. When I toured the facility I found all of the dogs huddled up in a cement room that smelled bad. There were no toys, and there wasn’t anything “soft” for them to relax on. I also found out that they leave the dogs in the facility over night by themselves. I am very particular. My dog is an extension of my family. I could not leave him in a cement room all day and then leave him in a kennel for 10 hours by himself. I also could not handle the smell. He was only there for 6 hours and I needed to give him a shower when he got home. I can’t imagine what he would smell like if he was there for days…

Being at 4 places, you should probably know that all dog daycare and boarding facilities have concrete floors. The reason behind this is because we can keep them sterile with the number of dogs walking about. They are easy to clean. In addition, any other types of flooring that might look "cute" is only a danger to a dog. They will chew on it, pee on it, you name it but somehow if it's not part of the ground - they will eat it or harm themselves. Stones are horrible. Carpet is ridiculous. The reason we don't have toys and have NEVER had toys is because dogs get possessive over toys and fighting can and will occur. In fact, dare I say, if you ever see a dog daycare facility or boarding facility with toys - I would run far away - because they have absolutely no idea what they are doing when it comes to dog "safety." It might look "cute" to you - but it's dangerous in group play. There are no "beds" and "soft things" inside the play areas because dogs urinate on them and they become soiled and carry bacteria that will result in harm to your pet. In all of our dogs sleeping quarters, all dogs are given their own blankets or beds that the customers provide. The smell - I have never once had a complaint about the smell of our facility. In fact, we have been told numerous times how good we smell compared to other places. If you are talking about how your dog smells, well right now we are NOT giving baths to dogs do the the Georgia Level 4 Draught. So we apologize that your dog may have come home a bit dirty. We owe it to our State to do our part and not have baths at this time because we need it for people and dogs to drink. We are the only responsible dog daycare doing this right now and for that we are being punished? Rex & Roxy's has and always will be the safest, cleanest and most customer service friendly dog daycare in Atlanta. We have the BEST safety record of any dog daycare in this business because we know what we are doing and have been doing it well for 5 years. Sorry you had a bad experience. We never have claimed to have all the pretty bells and whistles that look good to the humans - but you can be guaranteed that your dog was very well taken care of and had a wonderful time and that's what Rex & Roxy's is about. We are about the dogs. Thank you for your feedback. I will look into the "smell" issue and ensure this is taken care of.
The owner and staff of this doggie daycare is the absolute best in the city as far as I'm concerned!! My dog loves to attend playcare sesssions and I board her here when I am away...I would highly recommend them for your dog boarding and doggie playcare needs!!

I have been going to Rex & Roxy's for more than a year now. I use the service for both daycare and boarding. It's convenient to where I live which is in Kirkwood. We bring our dog for daycare once a week and board usually 4 or 5 times a year. Their prices are reasonable and I think the fact they separate the groups works because my big husky mix chases smaller dogs around the dog park. My dog is usually pretty wiped out when I get her home - so it all works out (because I'm wiped too). I buy the membership package though because the daily rate is kind of high. Great folks - nice staff.

My dog loves this place! We use R & R for day care and as well as boarding. It truly is our dog's "home away from home"! Just to mention the name "Rex & Roxys" to my dog, makes him crazy with excitement. The people there are awesome and they really do care about your pets.
