The right age for orthodontics
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontist examine all children by the age of 7. Some severe problems can be detected and easily corrected at this early age while the child is rapidly growing. This early treatment can simplify the future treatment once all of the adult teeth are present. Some children can simply wait until they have most of their adult teeth (usually 11-12 years of age). There also is no age limit for orthodontic treatment; the only requirements are healthy teeth and gums. If treatment is indicated, we will discuss things such as type of braces, treatment time, all costs including insurance coverage, and our many easy payment options. Your first visit will be both comfortable and informative making your decision to join our family easy.
Insurance and payment plans
At Ricci Orthodontics we understand that a beautiful smile is priceless but it should not cost you a fortune. We accept most insurance plans and will verify coverage and submit the necessary claims on your behalf. If you give us your insurance information prior to the new patient consultation, we will be able to tell you your benefits before you leave the first appointment. We also ask that you bring all necessary cards and forms to the first visit. We have many payment options including monthly payment plans in order to make fitting payments into any budget affordable.
