A few years ago they took care of a water main leak at my house from poly blue piping. Well, at a townhouse I own it happened again, water main leak from poly blue piping. I called Ridgeway... Mechanical on a Saturday morning and by that afternoon the new piping was in under my driveway. I would use them again and recommend them to a friend. Just call Al.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
We called Ridgeway mechanical on a Saturday to come out and look at our water heater that was not heating properly. The technician Rob was unable to repair it after several attempts. On his third... visit to our house, he just abandoned the job 6 days after initially starting. He literally walked out of my house and said nothing to me. I thought he was going to his truck but he never returned. He and the owner failed to return any of our phone calls. We called another plumbing company who came out at 7pm that same day. The repair was completed to our satisfaction in less than an hour. They will be very surprised when they find that our credit card payment has been rescinded.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

In April 2013 I had a backup from my basement drain. I had Ridgeway Mechanical come and have a look. The tech was super professional and explained that from what he could see there was a problem with the inside trap. I won't hesitate to call them again

Ridgeway has done ALL my plumbing for work for the last 3 years andI have recommended them to plenty of others for waterline replacement. I am at this point extremely frustrated as I had an agreement with them to repipe my home. They quoted it, showed up this morning to start and then informed me that they could not afford to do the job for the quoted price and referred me to another plumber. I will spend $2,000 more than budgeted due this. This to me, given my loyalty in the past, is very disappointing and not the way business should be done. Totally unacceptable.

My home was built in 1926 and I had the main water line break. Derek came out and gave me an explanation of what was needed. The estimate was greatly lower than competitors. I had studied Kudzo and I knew they were highly rated. I wasn't disappointed. The work was done promptly and efficiently in 3 hours! Could not be happier and I highly recommend them for anyone needing an established, well organized company.

Had these guys fix a leaky faucet and a couple of other things. Did a great job, but were very expensive. Completed the work in less than 1 hour - charged $500 (and only after I asked for a discount - originally wanted $650). Parts cost no more than $50. My guess is you can find the quality of work for significantly less.

The only Plumbing Contractor you will ever need. They use actual Plumbers that do the work to provide the estimates so they know first hand what they will be doing. Salvatorio came to our house and I immediately knew this was the right guy for the job. Knowledge, experience, integrity, price and the right attitude for a difficult job. To my surprise they showed up right on time despite a steady rain and freezing temperatures. They never complained or changed their price despite running into every possible problem while replacing our main water line. Salvatorio has replaced over 30,000 water lines, I was honored to have him replace ours. Salvatorio and his partner worked 11 hours straight in miserable conditions on a job that they thought would take four hours If you call any one else but Ridgeway, you are wasting your time and probably your money.

I called a total of 4 plumbers from the list for a basic plumbing job. These guys gave me an estimate about 20% less than the others. Derek called before the appointment time to let me know he was on the way. When he got here, he was very polite, did the work very efficiently and the bill was exactly what was quoted. I will use this company again.

We had a leaky bathtub faucet. Alan came out and replaced the washers. Before he left I pointed out to him it was still dripping. So he looked again, and decided the problem was not with the washers to begin with. He said the entire fixture needed to be replaced, and he told me to go to Home Depot to purchase the supplies. We scheduled the work, and I went to buy the supplies. I had no idea what I was supposed to be getting (there is a reason I hired a plumber!!) and it took the better part of the afternoon to figure it out with the help of the nice Home Depot guys. Alan didn't show up for the appointment, twice. Finally, another guy from Ridgeway came out, looked at the situation for one minute and said he'd have to take the whole wall out to do the repair. He would not honor the original quote. I ended up returning the hardware I had purchased, and Ridgeway would not refund the unnecessary work they did that did not address the problem. Will not use again.

My name is Alan Ridgeway and the owner of Ridgeway Mechanical. I have been working in the office for last 5 years and have not been in the field. This is a former employee that I helped out and can not believe what I get in return. I apologize to all my valued customers for having to read this, but encourage you to scroll down and look at over 800 five star reviews. Thank you very much, Alan Ridgeway
We got several quotes to run a gas line to our fireplace. One place gave us a very high quote, another said it was impossible to run a line because of the location of the fireplace. David from Ridgeway came out, gave a reasonable quote, and explained to us how he would solve the problem in a creative way. We have been enjoying the fireplace for a couple years now. Thanks David!!

Had an odd intermittent leak starting in 2nd story bathroom, ending up in garage. Leak had become more pronounced. Called in the morning, James & crew arrived a few hours later. Thye efficiently troublehot the problem. When thye discovered a nail had been driven into a drain pipe years ago, they patched the hole only making a small cut in the drywall. The bill was a only $250. A lot of quality work for that $$.

Joylee43, Thank you very much for the chance to show why we have all these 5 star reviews. You can not help what time you have a Plumbing problem, and we are always on call to help. And no, we do not mind if you watch the service call, hopefully you will learn something and maybe save you some money in the future. Thanks again, Jamie at Ridgeway
Thank you booker44, You were a pleasure to work with and the guys said you were also very helpful and had everything moved out of the way before we arrived. If you ever need anyone in the future, give Ridgeway a call. Thanks, Jamie
Please see the review I left below and pay close attention to the response provided by Ridgeway. If that is any indication of the way these technicians treat and speak of their customers then that should be reason alone not to call these guys. On a side note, I did not do any plumbing on my own. I removed the old shower drain and decided that I did not want to DIY any plumbing and would rather hire a professional. The technician install a drain which was not level and told me that I would have to hold down the drain with a brick while setting the mortar. Alan - If you have a problem with me or my review then you can call me directly instead of trying to bash me on a public website. I will now go ahead and file a complaint with the BBB.

This is a false statement. This guy tried to do the work himself and had no idea what he was doing. We had a master plumber install a drain in the shower and a shower valve and shower head. Then when the home owner tried to finish the job he messed that up and then blamed it on my plumber. Then he called my office cussing at my manager, so we told him we would send a plumber back out on satuday. It took our plumber about 5 minutes to fix what what the owner had done.
The plumber came within the appointment window and after my explanation of the problem and probable cause, was able to fix this in under 30 mins. He overcharged me for this, but the head office has agreed to refund the extra charges. I was impressed by the prompt correction of this problem.
