like another review, I was told when we signed up just sign, this is NOT a contract of any kind but when we cancelled due to personal reasons (childs health) we were held to 90 days, in this period of time they tried to convince to just put a hold etc etc.. but we wanted to cancel completely. They did not teach Karate as we knew it, they just jumped around for 45 minutes, kids looked forward to the end when they could play dodgeball....definitely NOT worth the money :(

Son attended many years.Pat was a great instructor. For personal reasons my son had to quit. He brought a letter and they even called to encourage us to go with a hold instead. At no time did they say a certified letter was necessary when they knew our intent. They continued to bill my credit card and when I reached them, they were no longer a friendly staff but strangers that claimed they did tell me this(NOT). Yes they have this in the fine print and are legally correct but ethically wrong. The staff was no longer the caring people that we thought we knew and trusted. It would have been easy for the staff member to tell my son and myself that the letter needed to be certified. And it does b/c you never know who will not acknowledge your non-certified correspondence and continue to bill you for services not used.

I've had such a positive experience at RSKA. My son's been enrolled there for a couple of months now & I wouldn't put him in any other school. I love the instructors & their philosophy. So happy. -Kat

My blue belt daughter was put into a sparing match with a black belt as a "conditioning / punishment". I was unaware prior - recieved a phone call stating my daughter had a bloody nose and didn't even make it 2 rounds - but it was good for her. A full week later, she still won't chew because of jaw pain, has bruised ribs, and sig. contusions on her right lateral thigh. This was a beating - you can't teach children that way.
