Let Down When I Needed MY Dr.'s Care the Most
I was a patient of Dr. Dott's for 2yrs. I recently had to make the agonizing decision to end my pregnancy. Dr. Dott counseled me on the non-surgical option (that he would perform in office)and had to be undertaken by week 8. I called to set up a time for the initial injection and was told by Dr. Dott that he would have to check with Diane to ensure they had the proper dosage available in-office and that I should call back 1st thing in the morning. I called at 9am, Dr. Dott was with a patient and was supposed to call me back. I call again at 3pm and was told that there was a big patient emergency (which I totally understand happens)but that Dr. Dott was already gone for the dayand he would not be back until Monday. As I was in my 7th week and timing was important I was left completely in the lurch and with limited options. I spoke with Diane the following morning who simply directed me to go to a clinic. I was completely disregarded by Dr. Dott and his staff during one of the most difficult times in my life. Dr. Dott offered me an option that it took immence soul searching to get comfortable with, only to completely fail me as a doctor/healthcare provider. To this day I have still not been contacted by Dr. Dott or his staff other than an invoice for my last appointment/ultrasound. What was already a heartwrenchingly difficult experience was made 100 times worse by the failure of this Dr. to care for his patient or to follow through the discussed plan of care.
