Riverside painted the interior of our home last week. First, they painted three of the rooms the wrong color (awesome, huh?), simply forgot to paint some of the rooms/closets that we had requested, and didnt even show up on Sunday to fix the issues (after they said they would!) They did come on Monday - finally - and the one painter became verbally angry with me, when i showed him what needed to be done. Albeit, his rant was mostly in Spanish, but I am the customer and I was nothing but polite - even after all the mistakes they made. Assuming Riverside doesnt/can't remove this review, since it aint pristine, I'd suggest you look somewhere else. They did knock a few 100 bucks off the final price, but it still ended up being more than other estimates we received. D- (with a curve) at best.

These guys are questionable at best. In my opinion, they do a mediocre job, and with some they have to come back to fix mistakes they made! I am of the opinion that their customer service is iffy, and they don't keep appointments to fix mistakes they made. If I were you, I'd steer clear!

Needed carpentry work to replace a lot of outside rotten wood, siding replacement and painting. After many estimates, Riverside seemed to be so honest. They were more than willing to work with me even making some very good suggestions of work that was needed and suggesting things that could wait. After getting many estimates that was refreshing. Although this job was several thousand I was surprise at how many companies were not interested or ridiculously high on their estimates. I am so pleased I picked this company I couldn't be happier and I am as picky as they come. I read every review for every company before I decided and would highly recommend Riverside for carpentry or painting. Their work was close to perfect, they were fast, efficient, courteous, cleaned up everything and very reasonably priced.

Riverside managed an entire home remodel for us and did spectacular job. Their vendors for custom cabinets, flooring, electrical and plumbing were top notch. They did the 12 week project on time and on budget -- we are thrilled. Gerardo Perez is the best in the business and we so enjoyed working with him. One cautionary note: protect your furniture. Their painting crew was slightly lower in quality customer service and not nearly as timely as the others. Alas, nothing is ever perfect in contractor-world but I would highly, highly recommend Riverside Painting and Gerardo.

Company did not keep appointment and did not call until the exact moment they should have been at my house to say they were not coming due to employee sickness. I asked to be compensated by 100.00 off a 600.00 estimate, they refused. I was offered 10% off, I refused. I stated I would be writing to Angie's list and others about experience and was threatened with legal action. Company stated they would sue me for slander. Threatening legal action against a customer for complaining about his/her experience is as low as a company can get.

I hired Riverside to paint my house and they did a good job in general. When they were through they stuck a blank endorsement of their services asking me to rate them, and I rated them highly. Six months later paint started flaking off small portions of my house. Suddenly, Riverside wasn't so interested in customer service. About a dozen calls and three months later they finally suggested I strike a deal with one of their painters to come out and do it on his own -- oh and by the way he'll need $150 for the paint. Sounds dumb, but I was so sick of the matter I did just that. Guess what? The paint is bubbling again. My advice here and everywhere, withhold endorsement until you KNOW the job was done right and use it for leverage. I didn't and paid for it.

to know if most of these reviews were written by Riverside because I would pay more for better communication and being on time. Paint by number that is hand is funny too.

Riverside Painters are the most professional and caring painters I've ever experienced. Their greatest concern seem to have been my satisfaction. They did a thorough job and their rates are very reasonable. I will definitely call them back for other home improvements needed in my home that they provide....They offer great warranties for all their work... Riverside Painters are the Best!!!...

We hired Riverside Painting to paint the exterior of our home after reading many positive reviews from satisfied customers. Their estimate was also the lowest of three we received and they offered the most services. Marco Alfaro and his crew pressure washed, prepped, caulked and replaced rotted wood on our house. Sherwin Williams primer and Super Paint was used to repaint the exterior masonite and shutters with two coats. Our large outdoor deck was pressure washed, stripped and restained with 2 coats of wood stain. The crew hand painted everything with paint brushes. A new entry arch was crafted by their professional carpenter to replace the old one. It looks fabulous with the intricate PVC dental molding and curve details painted in the trim color. These guys are experienced professional craftsmen who take a pride in their work and it shows. They also painted our old aluminum outdoor lighting fixtures and they look brand new now. Little details such as a loose shutter bracket were automatically fixed without having to ask them to do it. They did whatever was needed to make the house look great. The work was done in a reasonable amount of time with no mess left behind. I will use this company again and highly recommend them.

There needs to be a correction to an unathorized review sent on June 8. Riverside Painting and Home Improvements did an outstanding renovation job on our community and followed up with annual maintenance care. The performance and quality of the work is excellent. There were some communications issues with home owners that contributed to the job taking longer than anticipated. The co- owner is most professional and courteous.

Cons: 1) Painters broke a window and became argumentative when we requested replacement 2) No communication between Sales Rep and painters - I had to inform the painters about the items in my proposal - If I wasn't home during the painting, the carpentry repairs per my proposal would not have been properly addressed. Sales Rep told us that we could have paint samples applied to the house. Painters arrived in the morning ready to paint the house the same color -we were rushed to make a new color selection and was told by painters they did not have time to paint samples 3) Did not "hand paint" and apply "second coat" to all areas per my proposal. I was home during the painting - a sprayer was used and observed areas only being painted once. Patio furniture got covered with paint from over spray. 4) Broke 2 decorative caps on deck post and did not repair 5) Removed weather stripping from a door and did not re-install 6)Clean-up was fair - noticeable paint drips on brick and patio pavers got covered with paint from sprayer Pros: crew did an excellant job of preparing surfaces prior to painting

I was very pleased with the quality of work and the cooperation. I had them pressure wash and stain my deck. Initially the deck needed to be pressure washed a second time but, they came right out and did it a second time. The staining was excellent. They were very easy to work with and did it all for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend them.
