Went there because of coupon. Food was fine and the service was fair. There WAS a large party in the bar, but it was planned. Several tables complained and 2 groups left without eating. Might be... ok on a slower night, but won't go without coupon.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Me and my famliy went to riverstone on mother's day and were so glad we did. We orderd from the menu eventhough they had a mother day special, and got our steaks cooked fresh and just to our taste.... My brother loves beers and was so happy when he found Kona on TAP.. wowl.. that made his day. I have been to steakhouses in NY and LA and hands down this is the best steak we all had.. The cherry on it all was the dessert.. WOW we all ate some of and took some home to enjoy them later too.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

We decided to try this restaurant because we had a coupon and because we love a good steak. On a Friday evening, the place was dismally slow, only one other party in the dining room. Yet our steaks were slow to get to the table because, as explained with apologies by our server, the chef and manager were talking and the chef hadn't gotten around to cooking our steaks. For a somewhat pricy place, the steaks were nothing more than ordinary, and in one case, it wasn't very tasty and lacked seasoning of any kind. I will say the potatoes au gratin were fantastic. They were also a bit discombobulated about processing the coupon; since we are usually contacted by the issuer of the coupon for a review and have not been contacted, I wonder if they were able to correctly process it at all. The server again apologized. One other thing, they were playing some sort of rap or hip hop music on the sound system, a very strange choice for a wannabe upscale steak house. We didn't care for it and it certainly didn't lend itself to quiet, peaceful, and/or romantic dining. Like the previous poster, we are not hard to please, but we will not be back. Unfortunate; they are right down the street and we would have appreciated a good neighborhood steakhouse.

Apparently the restaurant changed ownership 3 weeks ago and has all new management, wait staff and cooks. It's now a complete disaster. The appetizers were terrible. The calamari was clearly from a frozen package and the spinach dip tasted like anything you'd buy in the grocery store and heat in your microwave. After three attempts at the right steak we gave up (they brought out two sirlions in a row before we taught them what a filet looked like - and even the filet - one we got it - was terribly undercooked). Had to argue with the manager to even get a few of the terrible items we sent back removed from the bill. We overhead the tables on either side of us voicing various complaints about their food, service, etc. as well. For a restaurant that bills itself as uniquely upscale in Lilburn, the servers wearing T-shirts and admitting they'd never tasted anything on the menu and could give no recommendations was quite surprising. Any national chain steakhouse offers far better service, atmosphere, food and value. We like a wide variety of restaurants and are not typically hard to please, but this place is a mess on all counts. I suspect that the great reviews we read are from diners who visiting Riverstone before the ownership and all wait and kitchen staff was changed.

THEY ATE EVERY THING ON THERE PLATES???? Management never changed, pls get your info correct. We were happy to give them there meal for free, all of it. Not sure what they were hearing from folks around them? we had a birthday party and they all order steaks, Fillet's and sirloins and none of them have issues on meat temp's. They asked the manager once and it was taken care of, there was no argument at all!!!! not sure if you read the date on review before this one, it was done by someone yesterday, pls get your facts straight before you slander some one.
I knew I was hungry and wanted to eat out on my way home from work. Noticed this restaurant and thought...WHY NOT???.... Best right turn I've ever made!! The atmosphere? GREAT! The service? GREAT! The prices? WOW, considering my budget! The food? STILL LICKING MY FINGERS!!! The new cook, Evander, must have been born in the kitchen! My plate looked like a Cuisine Magazine cover, that is until I devoured my order! Where has this restaurant been all my life? So many great menu choices, I keep going back to try everything! P.S Word of mouth means alot and everyone I've told agrees....the total package is undeniably worth the trip to Lilburn if you don't already live there. Ask for Evander, when I say HE COOKS....HE COOKS!!!

We read the other reviews and went. It was not a great experience. Good steaks, but terrible bar drinks and service. The pictures on the website look nice, but we sat in the back and it was seedy and dark. They were out of a lot of menu items. For the same money we would definitely pick a chain steakhouse. Would not go again.
