Finova Building Best Tenent, 8/12/2008

Robert McGrath was founding chef at Roaring Fork and brought to Scottsdale it's own definition of fine dining. The menu reflects flavors (and textures)of the Southwest in an elegant way. I originally... fell in love with this place with their "Porterhuose Pork Chop" but is no longer on the menu. The Jalepeno Mac and Cheese soon replaced the pork chop as "my favorite". Although the meat is high quality and well cooked, I suggest passing on the steak as the selection does not truly reflect the culinary expertise these chefs possess. Try something you would not try making for yourself or order in any other north american resturant. Try something new, you won't be dissappointed.

Good food, but they have a Del Monico on the menu. But a Del Monico is supposed to have a bone in it. Theirs did not. Therefore it is not a real Del Monico. The taste wasn't even as good.

Is there a bad dish on this menu?

The answer is NO! Everytime I go I try something new (because the menu is AMAZING) and it always Beats my expectations! I love this place... the happy hour, the food and the service! Try the scallops, they're to die for!

My Favorite Restaurant in Scottsdale

I'm a limo driver and whenever someone asks for upscale American with a southwestern flair, nothing even comes close to Roaring Fork. Their Pork Stew, served with melted cheese over the top like a southwestern version of French Onion Soup, is one of the best appetizers in town. The food here is excellent and the service is great. Come during happy hour to sample all their best foods at a great value price.

Great Chef

Great chef, good menu, high end food and service for moderately high end prices. It's not the easiest restaurant to park at and find, but very nice inside.

Roaring Fork is pretty good

The Roaring Fork provides excellent, very accomodating service. For those who don't know, the Roaring Fork is a River in Wyoming (I think), so a lot of the menu is seafood, lots of fish. I've had the Seabass, very good, and the fish tacos (a little garlicy for me). The bread basket they give you is a lot of fun with bacon biscuits, jalepeno corn break and dinner rolls. The banana desser (forget its name) is excellent. Two bananas in deep fried tortilla, with chocolate and cinnamon ice cream.

Best Happy Hour in Town!

Sit at the bar before 7 and get discounted drinks and excellent food. The $7.00 burger with cheese and green chile will knock your socks off. The green chile stew with flour tortillas is also to die for! If you have a little more money to spend, the dining room is beautiful and has a very southwestern feel. The food is a wonderful fusion of Southwest meets seafood/steaks. This is a great place for celebrations!
