We hired Zach, who we found through an Angie's List deal, to re-do our shower, tub, countertops and ceiling fans. He is one of the nicest frauds you will ever meet. The 2 week initial completion estimate turned into more than 5 months. To his credit, he would always return to fix a mistake, but would end up making more of a mess. The shower doors were damaged while he was repairing a leak in the shower, the toilet was cracked while finishing the tub. Both times he asked me if I had caused the damage. At the present moment, I have 2 electricians up in my attic repairing the faulty wiring he installed while replacing the ceiling fans. The licensed electricians both said they wished he was here, so they could let him have it. I have had a plumber out, twice, to repair the plumbing after he filled the bathroom sink pipes with silicone caulking instead of actually doing plumbing. In the middle of the initial bathroom re-do, Angies List contacted me to inform me he did not, in fact, have any of his licenses, but that he was working on them, so thanks a lot to Angie's List as well. His helpers were all ex-cons, they all volunteered this to me, and I have since been told that so is he, but I cannot verify this and he never volunteered it. I paid him nearly $9000 for the work he performed on the bathrooms and it is costing me an additional $500 to have the electrical and plumbing work repaired and brought up to code. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company.
Tore out the shower and bathtub and installed travertine tile in one bathroom and a new bathtub and tile surround in the other bathroom. Also installed new sinks and tile countertops in the bathrooms and new ceiling exhaust fans.
Area Litchfield Park, AZ
Cost $5,000 - $9,999

Zach robertson is a complete incompetent contractor who treats his employees like dirt cuts corners never follows code I suggest researching him he's a con artist who did prison time pockets money doesn't pay employees and does not give customers quality work he uses people to do work for him then never pays and tells the people who did the work for him there wasn't enough profit to pay them he's a complete dirtbag and people who are productive members of society trying to support there family shouldn't be victimized by the con do not hire take it from me he will cut every corner he can right under your nose do not hire him trust me coming from someone who has worked for him and refused to do the work because what he does to people's homes are not right trust me

In my personal experience of doing research on whether or not to "bite" on the "great deal" I determined that this contractor is unrealiable in showing up for appointments and in the quality of workmanship. If Kudzu chooses to delete negative reviews like this one, they are not doing a service to their customers. If you are thinking about hiring this contractor at least check to make sure he is licensed first.

I got this Kudzu because I needed some small jobs and a few bigger jobs done around the house. Zach made the appointment. the first day two inexperienced guys came out and spent all day doing not even 10% of my list. I was so furious because I had greater expectations given the reviews. I am handy but I thought if I can get two guys to come out and knock out my list that would be worth it. I had emailed my list well in advance so that he would get some idea of what needed to be done. On the day they arrived, jobs were delayed because Zach had to go get supplies, I was left with two guys basically sitting around most of the day. I spoke with Zach and he was very nice and appropriately said that he would come back and finish the job. On the return day, he showed up late, left for 30 mins to get supplies and was gone most of the time leaving the inexpereinced apprentice to "do" some work. This is not my expectation for someone who is coined as an experienced contractor. On top of that, at the end of the day, I was handed an invoice for an additional $382. Apparently at 1pm, the $65/hr kicked in, yet I was not made aware of this. I have no problem paying for work but the work was not up to standard. The paint job I could have done better and should NEVER have hired this company. In fact, I have to have the paint redone because you can see where the old paint cut off. The jobs I had were not hard jobs at all and so it baffles me why it took them two full days to do it.

As a remodeling contractor in Arizona for many years, I have used a multitude of subcontractors through the years. Rickie(Zach)stands out. He is a skilled electrician and has been a delight to work with; he comes when he says he will; does a quality job; bids his work at a fair price; and is a man who I have confidence to refer to anyone who needs a reliable tradesman. When we needed a few things done around our house I really didn't want to hire a bunch of different, and expensive, repairmen to do the work. I would have had to wait at home each time just to get estimates! Zach Robertson came over and fixed everything in one visit. The same day...at very reasonable fees. Saved me a lot of hassle. And, everything was done right! This was over 5 years ago & I have been using him ever since---at my office at work too. They have always been very dependable. Peace of mind to have a good handyman!
