I had an A/C emergency this summer when the temperatures were well above 90-degrees. I came home from work to a stuffy, 92-degree house. My daughter was only a few weeks old at the time, and there was no way she could tolerate that high of a temperature for very long. Called Ronald Smith H&A and they were at my home 30 minutes later and fixed the issue in less than ten minutes!! The tech was super professional and informative, the office personnel were very friendly, and they didn't charge me an arm and leg for their services. Affordable, friendly, professional, quick and easy. I would highly recommend them!

Let me start off by saying I spoke with several other hvac businesses about what I needed done. Other places were very rude to me. I talked with Linda at Ronald Smith HVAC and she was so polite and helpful to me. She made sure I knew exactly what was going on and when and was excited to help me. The guy who came out was very respectful and explained everything he was going to be doing and why. I am very pleased with the professional and compassionate employees that work at this company. Awesome experience after many horrible ones from other companies. Thank you for caring when no others seemed to! !

On the day of installation, the technicians forgot the auxiliary drain pan and stated they had no knowledge it was in the contract to install. I called the office and had that fixed. The new A/C pad is a plastic tray which I am skeptical whether it will last the life of the unit as it is placed in the grass. A week or two after installation the A/C stopped working. A technician came out and found the A/C unit was wired incorrectly. Now three and a half months later I find out they installed a Carrier Infinity 80%, 70K furnace when my contract stipulated a Carrier Infinity 80%, 90K furnace. Today I was told by a staff member that a Manager would be at my home at 11:00am so I stayed home. Nobody showed up so I wasted all morning. I than phoned them and talked to a man who claimed to have written my contract and he tried explaining the furnace installed should have been the 70k furnace and not what the contact agreement said. He finally agreed to either send me a check or come out and replace the furnace but I cannot stay home to watch the technicians whenever they have a chance to fix their mistakes so I agreed to the check for a specific amount. Had I not checked the model number on the furnace, I would have never known they had installed the incorrect furnace. It is now seven days after the agreement for me to accept a check for the installation problem. I have been advised by James at Ronald Smith Heating and Air that the check has not yet been issued .
We have no excuse we dropped the ball on this one. We are constantly training and holding our employees accountable. I assure you this will be dealt with. We strive to be five. We thank you for letting us know so we can address the issues. Please accept our apology and thank you for letting us rectify this issue with you.
I needed to replace my 1983 gas furnace and have my A/C serviced. Lee showed up on-time for an estimate and gave a detail and professional explanation of my options and answered all my questions. The installation took place two days later by a couple of very courteous and helpful young men, Patrick and Corey. They were diligent and patient and made sure I was happy with the work before they left. I needed to purchase on credit and Mr. Smith personally helped me apply and get approval. This whole operation was top notch and at a great price. I have no reservation in recommending Ronald Smith Heating in Air or in scheduling all my service with them. They are a true value!

I called RS HVAC yesterday for a Tech to come out for an emergency we were having with our A/C. The drainage pipe had gunk build up & had filled up & over-flowed all under our furnace & Trane Clean-Air Effects Filter system. I was told someone could come the next day between 11:00 & 3:00pm. I told the receptionist that will not work, I needed someone Today! I reminded her that they had Inspected it in April (on a 51 degree weather day) and had found no issues at that time. So, a Tech from East Point Lee Patterson was dispatched & finally arrived at our home. I explained what was happening & he began working on problem after I gave him Towels & a bucket he needed. Honest to god, he wanted to turn the A/C back on with so much water still in Furnace & Filter system, even went as far as lying to me when I asked had he removed the Filter Panels out of Trane unit, he said yes, when I asked him to open it up so I could look inside to make sure no water was present before turning it back on I saw he in fact did Not remove them as he had said. Again, he said he needed to turn system back on to make sure it was running, I explained that I was not comfortable doing that with water present! this went on until I made it clear that it wasn't going to happen, not until I could get a Floor Dryer and a Dehumidifier to dry it out! Duh! He stated that we will then have to call them back and pay another service call of $59.00. I told him fine but had no intention of doing that! 138.00 total!
I am sorry you feel this way. Our service coordinator after learning of the water issue sent a tech the same day.We want to satisfy all our customers anyway we can.The service tech needed to turn the unit back on long enough to see where the leak was coming from so he could fix the leak. Again sorry our goal is to fix all equipment we are called for.
It's always appreciated when a contractor visit is on time. They called and let me know when they would be here and actually arrived at the exact time. They were courteous and thorough and for a fair price.

We recently had our AC go out and decided to replace both the AC & furnace at the same time. We got several quotes before deciding on a new system. We finally decided on going with Ronald Smith and we couldn't have been happier with the decision. The quote they gave was very competitive, and the technician who came out gave an honest assessment about what we needed in our home (he didn't just recommend the most expensive or efficient systems). He took the time to talk to us about the decision. James, the technician who actually installed our new system did a great job. He re-worked some of the venting that had been improperly installed with the previous system and made sure everything was done right. Ronald Smith has definitely won my future business.

We had several estimates lined up but Lee Patterson was the only one who would come out that Saturday. Lee won us over with his knowledge and overall presence. Even though the price seemed a little high we went with Lee and cancelled the rest of the estimates. We replaced our 20+ year old TRANE with all Carrier inside and out - first time with variable fan - now the humidity is controlled better and we are able to keep our thermostat set two degrees higher than before and are very comfy!!

Trane Unit Stopped working-Wonderful Ladies in the Office Got Us Squeezed in & Lee P. Replaced our Capacitor-Cleaned our Condenser Coils & We now have Cold Air Again! Technician Mike W. came out to our house last week to provide a spring/summer tune-up on our A/C unit. He was on time, neat, polite and very professional. He was also thorough and actually took the time to explain things and answer questions (We even called him up the following day with a question; which he graciously answered.) At one point during the inspection/tune-up, he thought our system might be a pound low on freon, but upon further examination realized it was not and explained why it appeared that way at first. It's so nice to find a true knowledgeable professional in this business who is also honest. For us, Mike's professionalism and the very reasonable price for the optional 2x yearly service makes it a done deal that we will be staying with Ronald Smith Heating & Air for all our service needs.
