Roosters - Atlanta's Premier Barbershop

Roosters is a nice barbershop, offering all those services that have been forgotten by the cheap chains (hot shave, free shampoo, etc), added some for the 'new' man (waxing, foot details, etc), and tagged on some nice bonuses (free drinks, free neck massage, etc). All the offerings are well done, but some are obviously not requested often and may be on the menu just to give it some bulk. Sadly, haircuts can be hit-or-miss depending on the 'stylist' you get. Never a 'terrible' cut, but may not be the best either. So, if you're just here for a haircut, the saying, "You can't polish a turd," will probably describe your experience. In other words, all the extras won't make up for the so-so cut.
That brings me to the price-point. Roosters doesn't hide their prices, so the sticker shock hits when you view their website. And, as I said, the haircut may not be worth it (you'll probably get similar quality at a 'Great Cuts' type place, but at least you'll save $20). However, the prices for the other options are reasonable, and they are worthwhile, if just for an occasional splurge.

I just went for my appointment only to find out the person to cut it is no longer there. Third time I've been there that either 1)person no longer worked there 2)lost my appointment and in no cases did I ever receive a phone call. I've had it, I'm done. No patience for people that don't respect you enough to give you a simple phone call. It's SUPPOSED to be a service business after all.

Although I could probably go elsewhere for a less expensive haircut, I look forward to my trips to Roosters. Once I had a less-than-great haircut, but I think that was one stylist. My recent haircuts have been great.

If I could give the service six stars I would. They're very courteous, have worked to fit me in when I needed an unplanned haircut (though I recommend reservations), and really pamper their customers.

I sent my husband to Roosters as a special gift for our anniversary. He loved it!! He said he felt like finally there is a place to go to actually enjoy getting a haircut. The staff was a huge help as I tried to figure out which services to get and set up the appointment. Now he's a regular customer, and I know what to get him for every special occasion!

Moved to the Marietta area about 3 years ago and have been going to Rooster's ever since. I was looking for a place where they would take their time with my hair, had very consistent service and delivered good value. Rooster's is definitely it! Have never had a bad haircut, the staff is very friendly, plus the store has a great upscale ambiance. Most importantly I never feel like I am rushed or just a number like at the lower end chains. Make sure you try the wet shave -- I do one every month as a treat to myself!!!
