This week my female neighbor that lives alone and is older asked about my septic service. Her house being smaller and only one person living there for 10 years I told her it should be around the price I paid or less. I gave her the referral and they came out the same day. Hours later I get a call from her crying about how much she had to spend because so much was wrong with the septic tank. WHAT! I got her to explain what all they charged for and later that night she showed me the bill. Being smart she was taking pictures the whole time they were at her property and what the tank looked like and even the filter. Looking at the pictures of everything her tank was in much better shape than mine was. So I was floored that they took advantage of an older woman for over $2600! The service I had was $550 and mine was in worse shape. To break it down they charged her for a brand new filter and had to replace the pvc pipe for the new filter to fit. This was an over $400 charge when they just took a water hose to mine. Next was to pump her drain field out for over $300. Why? They didnt offer me this service. Then came the whopper of a oxidizerPlus treatment that would clean her drain field for over $1600. None of the services they told her she needed were offered to me...why?

Didn't show up for their appointment. Was told that I was first on schedule to have my septic system serviced Friday am, June 3, and that they would be here between 8 and 10a. I made the apt on Tuesday and I called this morning to verify that I was still on the schedule. At 9:55a someone calls me and tells me they are stuck on another job with no estimate on when they will show up. That's terrible service when I have to schedule my time away from work, for nothing now. I will never use RooterPlus for anything. They don't do what they say they will do.

So this is our anniversary - 7 years of wonderful marriage. We laughed about getting a clogged drain and called rooterplus. WOW WHAT A MISTAKE. An incompetent untrained plumber arrives not in any uniform but in sweats - this made me suspect to begin with and i shld have asked him to leave right then. Next, he spends 15 minutes kind of hanging around looking at sink (mind u this was in the end a simple clog). Has me sign for a $250 unclogging charge (which i did just cause he was here already). I proceed to tell my wife I dont think guy knows what he is doing and then THE FLOODGATES OPEN! he released the pipes under the clogged sink and water rush led thru floor and out of basement ceiling!! Now water damage company here, the playroom for kids unusable for 4 days and we have 5 kids under 6 arriving Monday! Carpet pad torn up, holes in playroom ceiling in basement, fans and dehumidifiers going and loud for next 3-4 days! Most likely room cant be patched up before Christmas and anniversary day today ruined. The worst part is I have done so much business w these guys that i expected so much more - they offered no compensation for family, for frustration, for ruining our special day, for impacting our week with family! Sure they are doing the minimum of fixing what they 'broke' but what about us being inconvenienced because of their lack of competence...

Said they would be out Sunday no show. Showed up on Monday the 150.00 they quoted went up quick said it would be $3,000 to make additional repairs the old bait and switch. The owner was rude the technician was rude they did not care about the customer!

We moved into a new home recently and first of all we made an appointment for the day we moved in for 12-4. They didnt call until 4 to inform me that they would be coming later that evening due to "unexpected repairs" at another house. They never showed at my house and finally called later that evening saying theyd be there the next day, first thing. Luckily he did show up early and began looking for the septic. As he was working, I left for work. He said he would let my wife know any repairs that were needed outside of the regular $175 pumping. An hour later my wife let me know that it needed $3,000 worth of repairs. She said that the technician was scraping stuff off and said that it needed to be repaired as well as the baffle tee and the tail out. We are new to sceptic systems and werent sure. After reading all of these reviews I am sure that this is a scam. I will be getting another opinion. After refusing the repairs the $175 pump ended up being $500 somehow.I would search around before hiring them again.

Scheduled an appointment for 12pm-4pm window time for residential plumbing issues. At 2pm, An employee named Michelle said they were running behind. At 3:40pm. She called again and said they didn't know if they were going to make it as they were very behind. I told her that I've been waiting all day and it's ridiculous that they couldn't make it within a four hour window. She pretty much hung up on me. I'm extremely angry and will find another company. The only reason I called them was because they serviced my septic tank and did a decent job. I'm so over crappy customer service like this company. Michelle needs a reprimanding for treating customers like that.

Everything was going fine until I asked them to price match & take online coupons. I was literally told to go to another company. I got a free estimate last week and the service was great. I called this morning to see if I could get a price match and was told by a male employee they had availability today and could do price match. Then when I called to confirm my appointment with a female employee I asked if I could redeem the online coupons and was told yes. Not 5 minutes later the same male employee from earlier that day called me and informed me that there was no availability this day due to the ice storm in Georgia and that I should use the other company. I asked if I could schedule an appointment for next week and he asked why I wouldn't use the other company I got the quote from as if I had lied about the other estimate. Then he insisted again for me to use the other company. I would have preferred to use this company because it has been around longer in Atlanta & my family has used them & been pleased in the past. I plan to use the other company but I was very offended by Rooter Plus customer service. A simple 'no' to the coupons would have sufficed, I still would have used them.

I called to have Rooter plus come out to my home and the lady on the phone said that she would send someone out the next day.She told me that they would ask me before doing anything. Well they showed up not on time first of all i told them it had to be after 12:00 they said ok and showed up to my house at 8:30. Started pumping my tank and let my Wife know that that we were 500 gallons over and that would cost an extra $100 that we did not have. So instead of confirming that it was ok to pump that extra they did it anyways. When my wife told the guy that he said that he would let her have a coupon to use. Well the bottom line is that he had no coupon and they charged $100 extra with permission to do so.BEWARE!!!

They gave me an outrages quote. I refuse they came back at half price. Never again. Pick someone else if u want someone who will give u a fair price from the start. He did good work but why say u are going to charge me 395 then after I show you it's not worth it you ask for 165. That's crazy.

Good luck actually getting a $175 service! I spoke with them prior to coming out, told them my septic tank was full and I would need an extra hose because of distance, price was agreed to and when they came out it was like the world had ended because my tank was full. Of course I had to have the "crust buster" service which was an additional fee...the crust buster is a weed whacker with a rubber paddle and they ran it for 3 minutes (I timed them). They cleaned the crust buster on my lawn and left the debris, left cigarette butts and did not fill the hole back in. Called to complain and was told a supervisor would call back. I never heard from them. Do not use these guys.

Randy K. returned my late evening call within minutes. I had come home to a nice little flood in my foyer and though I'd sopped up what I could, I was worried whatever caused the water overflow would happen again in the middle of the night. I was also worried about the cost. Randy was professional and patient as he helped me over the phone to look over my water bill and assess whether I was on a septic tank or sewer. He took time to ask me questions about my plumbing, where the leak came from and explained what might have happened and what I could expect as "worst case" *before* he ever arrived. Once he was here he went right to work and eliminated any causes right away that could have been the (very costly) source of my water leak to reassure me that my particular issue wasn't as bad as I was worried it may be. Other businesses I've dealt with in the past would have taken advantage of my panicked state, not Randy. He was empathetic and truly just wanted to make a bad, late night situation better for me. It's refreshing to find that kind of honesty and integrity still exist today. He fixed the issue in less than 1/2 the time it took him to drive all the way over to my location. He was caring, very polite and professional and explained everything and every charge thoroughly. The cost was minimal and more than fair. I will definitely reach out to RooterPLUS again if I have any more plumbing issues and will ask for Randy by name.

Jon from Rooter Plus arrived on time, gave me a honest quote, and cleaned both of my septic tanks per book. I would not hesitate recommending him to my neighbors. He went well above norm to do an excellent job.

Septic systems are a serious source of groundwater contamination. Septic systems are designed to drain away human waste underground at a slow, harmless rate. An improperly designed, located, constructed, or maintained septic system can leak bacteria, viruses, household chemicals, and other contaminants into the groundwater causing serious problems. It is recommended that you have your septic tank pumped and inspected every 3 to 5 years. RooterPLUS! - helping keep Gerogia's groundwater safe.
