I'm not as impressed as everyone else seems to be, but it was a fun place to go. The locations is definitely good.
The food was great. I do find it unbelievable how much they charge for guacamole though. That part is a rip off, especially when you see there is no special recipe, its just normal ingredience. The... food is great though, but it's hard to go again knowing the price you'll be paying for Mexican.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

My friend visiting from Baltimore treated me to this great restaurant. I decided to try the fish tacos, which comes with a serving of rice and beans for the entire table. The rice, sprinkled with cilantro is tasty, and the black beans covered in queso were delicious. I wasn't impressed by their dessert menu, oh well, Cafe Intermezzo here I come! • Pros: Convenient, Excellent Customer Service • Cons: Pricey! • Overall user rating: Average

I'd heard over and over again about the guacamole at Rosa Mexicano, so we got some of that and the special pomogranite margaritas. Both were good, but nothing spectacular and all the food was very overpriced. It's MEXICAN food. . . why am I paying $18 for an entree that is primarily rice, beans and cheese? Service was hovering and odd. I much prefer Nuevo Laredo for drinks, guac. and mexican! Location is nice in Atlantic Station, but I won't pay to go there again.

This was almost too commercial for me. Having the guac made at the table was a very nice touch (although an expensive one we found when we got the check). The thing that I would most definately recommend is the Pomegranate Margarita. I would go back just for drinks!

My colleague took me to Rosa Mexicano for an appreciation luncheon. I was so excited when we saw the beautiful decor and the fresh guacamole carts, but $10 for guac at lunch? Please. It took forever to get our food, and then the fish I ordered was clearly not fresh and heavily salted in attempt to mask that fact, so I sent it back, and had to wait again for the pork tacos, which were quite good, but not worth the trouble. Then we waited forever for our check. The ambience doesn't make up for bad food and poor service, sorry.

Since I had a party of 6, I called Rosa's mid-week from an office 5 mins away. The hostess indicated that reservations had to be placed at least 4 hours prior to arrival (huh?) and that she couldn't place me on a list. But don't worry, she said...there is no wait. Upon arrival it was 25 min wait, forcing us to bar for our round of $10 margs (yummy, but small). There were other execution issues too numerous to list here. I will go back for margs and people watching, but not for food (Mole sauce is horrible, despite what the waiter says). There are better food options in Atlanta.

With all the hype about this newly opened restaurant in Atlantic Station, I decided to make a dinner reservation for visiting family. While the restaurant itself has a modern upscale decor, the food unfortunately leaves much to be desired. The empanadas that my sister ordered were horrible, the shrimp dish too salty and the quesadillas literally charred. My niece's cheese quesadilla with sweet potato fries and buttered corn was actually the best of all the entrees ordered. Go figure. The only real gem here is the fresh guacamole prepared tableside and the signature Pomegranate Margarita. The service was okay, and the manager did come over and ask if he could bring us something else after we told our server how awful some of our food tasted. I don't plan on dining here again unless I am shopping in Atlantic Station and just want a quick drink and some guacamole. If you aren't already in the area, don't waste your time dining here. The only reason this place will stay in business is because the tired shoppers looking for a bite to eat won't know any better.

We went for a special occassion and really enjoyed ourselves. Food was pretty authentic which I like. They have a kids menu but both my kids didn't like the quesadilla which they normally love everywhere else. Pomegranate Margaritas were very good.

A fantastic place for our anniversary! We arrived 5 minutes early for our reservation and the wait was only long enough to order and taste a couple great margaritas. Beautiful decor inside, my wife raved about the lighting and the bathrooms. The tableside guacamole was awesome, we almost ordered seconds. The main course dishes were wonderful, spicy, and true to similar great food I've had recently in Mexico City. If you like margaritas try the La Paloma con Don Julio for a true taste of bebidas Mejicanas. Good value for the money in my opinion. Only negative, our server was a bit cool and green, but warmed to us when our bartender delivered a glass she forgot and we all discussed the finer points of mixing and drinking a Paloma. Thanks Jewels, great service! We will certainly be back. Aaron

This just opened in the Atlantic Station. The outside looks and interior decoration are really attractive. We were so excited. The service was bad, our waitress was a little bit snobbish. She was chatting too much at another table. The food was so-so, and it is overcharged, but I guess, it is due to the location. I can have much better Mexican food with better price somewhere else. You will pay for the atmosphere, not for the food.
