Called at 9 AM on a Friday to order one pallet of sod. They took the order and credit card info. I asked when I could expect delivery and was told it would be delivered the next day on Saturday. I asked for an approximate time and was told to call back later in the afternoon. They asked for a phone number so the driver could call before coming. I called at 4:15 to find out an approximate time and there was no answer or option to leave a message. I called again at 9:04 AM Saturday, again at 9:32, and again at 9:52morning, no answer any of those times. I called again at 1:57 and got a message saying they closed at 12 noon on Saturday. The credit card was charged. No sod, no call. I can't comment on the quality of the sod since it never came however I rate the customer service EXTREMELY POOR. I strongly recommend checking elsewhere for your sod needs. Update! Received sod after another round of calls on Monday. Sod finally showed up on Tuesday and it looked half dead. Suspect fungus damage and also had evidence of sod web worm damage. Looks worse than the grass I dug out. Totally dis-satisfied and disgusted with Rountree. Never again.

We Ordered 2 pallets of sod to be delivered today 7/19/13.I personally called and was told that they would be here around 2pm. My husband called at 4:10 only to be told that they had closed early... REALLY??!!!??! We have already PAID for the sod so why can't they do what they said. Oh and we were the ones who called. They NEVER called us. DO NOT use this company if you value your time. And as I write this review we still have not received our paid product.

I had a problem with one of the pallets of sod delivered. It died within two weeks while others in same sun, watering, etc were fine. Tried to get Rountree to give some refund, or provide new pallet (even willing to pay at their cost so they didn't lose money) but 8 messages later no one ever calls you back and they offer no excuse each time. They are actually rude to you when you call. They can't even confirm that the owner is getting the messages I leave. No wonder they are not accredited with the BBB. Bruce (GM? Dispatcher?) is worthless. PLEASE take your money elsewhere to show them that customer service still matters!!

The morning that my sod was being delivered I called Roundtree and asked what time could I expect them to arrive. I was told between 1 and 3. I took a half day off of work to make sure that I would be home when they arrived. At 5:45 the delivery guy showed up and told me that I should feel lucky that I got my sod because he was working overtime just for me. I didn't get a single phone call saying that they were running behind. If you don't like having your time wasted then get your sod from somewhere else.

They did not cal me 30 minutes before and they conveniently just dropped it off at my house. The 3 pallats were in bad shape. Very little green grass and mostly yellow. They refused to take it back even though they gave me crap sod. STAY AWAY FROM HERE.

Beginning last year, I have been a (homeowner) customer of Classic Turf which is located on South Phillips Hwy. Yesterday I needed 20 pieces of Floratam sod and Classic Turf was out. Not wanting to delay my plans I decided to go across the highway to Roundtree Sod to get my sod. When the clerk/rep for the company opened her window -there was a sign stating "Do not knock on Window. I can see you..."- she was very surly, certainly not a good rep for any company, and said I should get my sod from a pallet which she pointed to. The sod was sitting in the sun and quite dry. Since I had already paid for it I decided I would take it as is. At Classic Turf the sod is $.75 per piece and an employee loads it for you. At Roundtree it is $1.00 per piece and you load it yourself. I will never go back to Roundtree!
