Sad, Sad Sushi, 6/16/2011

One word for this place: GROSS. When you first walk in, they've got nasty old carpet runners in the entry, like the kind you'd use behind the line. The service was just terrible and when our food... came out, I'd rather them have never served us at all. One look at the menu and I was ready to walk right out the door, but since we had gone with some friends we were stuck. Their menu was seriously about 12 pages long and had no logical organization to it whatsoever. It was all very strange, from the decor to sushi rolls with names like "Japanese Bomb Pearl Harbor Roll" and "America Re-Rising Roll" to one roll that was called "Sinking Titanic Treasure Hunt" and was advertised as occasionally having a $10 gift card buried in the sauce. Can't you just picture guests digging through their sauce for hidden treasure? Just plain strange. I finally chose the Kobe Cowboy Roll, a decision I cam to pretty much by just closing my eyes and pointing randomly in frustration, eenie meenie minee moe style. Drew ordered a spicy tuna roll of some sort. Both were absolutely disgusting. His was so salty & the tuna was warm, discolored, and served over something that tasted like taco sauce; we were both surprised that he didn't end up with food poisoning. Mine was stomach turning with its floppy gray beef and soggy tempura shrimp. Yes, Ru San's is very very affordable, I'll even say cheap as dirt, but you totally 100% get what you pay for: DIRT. We will never, ever go back to this awful place.

Good food RUDE service, 11/24/2009

My coworkers and I order take out about once a week. It is cheap, and the food is good, but the staff is super rude every time. They give back incorrect change and change the prices at random. ... Still, the food is good enough that we put up with it.

So much sushi, so little time

Thanks to fellow yelpers my bf and i discovered this place! we went on a sunday around 6ish. walked in the joint and were overwhelmed by the menu! The menu is like a book. how were we supposed to just pick one thing to order, i wanted one of everything! We were surprised by the huge crowd inside. Our order came quickly and the waiter always made sure that our glasses were filled.

Great Entertainment, Good Food

This isn't your five star snooty sushi bar. The food is fun and the menu is stacked with options, I especially like the Banana Boat and Godzilla rolls...

best, cheapest sushi u can find

Ru San's is great. You get greeted when u come in and feel special. They have $1 sushi every day. This includes all the favorites like the Clifornia roll and tempura. You will get very full for around $8. U cant beat the price and the atmosphere.

Great value, great sushi

Ru San's was my entry point into sushi... a friend took me there and helped me navigate the sort of intimidating menu. Now when I go, I see the menu as just having lots of choices, not being intimidating. There are great deals here, always quickly delivered, always tasty. The atmosphere is energetic, even loud, but it's fun. It's my home base for sushi in Atlanta.

Sushi heaven

I'm not your typical sushi eater--I'm a vegetarian. Ru San's makes sushi a great option for me (and everyone else that eats sushi)with an extensive list of options, including creative vegetarian rolls like banana tempura maki and mozzerella cheese maki. Sake bomb away!

Something for everyone

I'm a huge fan of sushi, although I am reluctant to try any type of meat that is uncooked. If you are anything like me, Ru Sans is just the place for you. I like their wide variety of vegetarian sushi options, but I really love their California Roll (which might also be veg.) and their Spicy Chicken Roll!

Great lunch buffet

You can't beat Ru Sans lunch buffet. Their sushi is SO good and the buffet is a great bargain. We come here for lunch often because of that.

Great sushi at a good price. The vegetarian sushi (sweet potato rolls, tofu maki) is my favorite!

Get place to get Saki-bombed!

This place has it all, fresh fish, mexicnas behind the counter, orientals at the door and tatooed emos waiting tables...I absolutely love it! The food is great also.

Value Priced Sushi

Exciting atmosphere with up beat music and decor are trademarks at Ru San's. You'll find good but not great quality sushi for very reasonable prices. Sitting at the sushi bar is the way to go for the best experience and service. Sushi off the dollar menu, the Rising Sun roll, Fried Rice (really), and Fried Ice Cream are all top notch.

good buffet selection

We usually went there for lunch. Their lunch buffet has a nice selection of sushis and other side items including wings fried veggies and some deserts. Lunch price is reasonable.
