What a surprise! I watched as this spot sat vacant, then became a failure of a New Orleans beignet spot, and then...nothing, until Rumi's arrived. It seemed like the location was doomed but just try and get yourself into the parking lot almost any time and you'll see that something is bringing people to Rumi's. The small, maybe even a little crowded spot feels warm, comfortable, and the food!! The food is excellent, and unlike anything you have ever tasted before. Even if you are a meat and potatoes kind of person give Rumi's a shot--the chicken barg is unbelievable.

I recently took a group of friends to dinner at Rumi. It was a wonderful dining experience. The food was incredible, as well as the service. If you haven't been there - give it a try!

First off, the food here is so good that it's my favorite place in Atlanta, despite its problems. Lots of people complain about the service. The waiters can be hit or miss, meaning sometimes they are good and sometimes they make you wait a little while for more water and such. The price is a little high at dinner but very reasonable at lunch. Back to the food (the reason you're there right?) It's delicious. Update: The service is a lot better now and it's still my favorite place. My only complaint is the parking.

This is hands down one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in the Sandy Springs area. I will continue to go there on a regular basis. The food and service are both exceptional. The owner is quite often there and has been very personable and gracious.

After years of my eating my mom's Persian home cooking, I was invited to this restaurant by a Persian friend and absolutely loved it. Everything I've had here is good and served up with ample speed and friendliness.

Marrying an Iranian woman has exposed me to all the Persian cuisine in Atlanta. No one cooks better than her mother, but when we eat out, we go to Rumi's. And we see many Persian friends there, too. Ali and his chefs ensure the food is consistently outstanding (the bread alone is worth the trip), and the service is very good. Decor is contemporary, creating an inviting atmosphere. But Rumi's is all about the food. So ask your server about the various dishes, watch how the Persians around you eat, and savor the meal. Hint: Make reservations, as the restaurant is quite busy.

The food here is phenomenal! The prices are great for the amount & type of food you get. The hummus is very fresh and very good and the bread is the best I've had anywhere.
