Our experience with Rummele's has been with purchasing two Rolex watches. The ladies' watch had problems with the crown "popping" out (odd, because it needs to be unscrewed first) on its own which began right after we purchased it. The repair person replaced the crown, but could see nothing wrong with it. When it kept happening, we took it back to Rummele's, asking that it be sent back to Rolex. We were assured that if the repair person did not think he could fix it (and he could find nothing wrong the first time) that it would be returned to Rolex for repair. A week after we picked up my watch from Rummele's, I noticed the time was off by a minute, and decided to re-set it. Neither my husband nor I could unscrew the crown. Upon calling the store, we found out that the repair person had used Loctite to "fix" the problem. Our gut feeling to have it sent back to Rolex the 2nd time was correct. From what we understand, Rummele's does not have a certified Rolex repair person on premises. The owner was very rude and refused to work with us, even though the manager confirmed our persistent request with store personnel that the watch be seen by Rolex the second time we returned it to Rummele's. We are now dealing directly with Rolex in New York. The customer service there has been excellent.
